  • I agree, even the ingredients part, except referring to color/flavor additives.

But cane sugar is an utter "word trick" that means absolute nothing. It is just as processed, and is exactly as good for you, as corn syrup. It's an example of "health theater" that companies do with labeling.

  • I tuned into the NYC new years, and I guess it's been awhile since I saw images of NYC - holy shit, it looks terrible! HAPPY KIA NEW YEARS! seriously? every inch of building is a scrolling screen. wow.

  • Not taking away from the game or achievement at all, but to me it looks like they didn't start from scratch.

Palworld looks like a re-skin of their own game, Craftopia.

I'll probably try Pal this weekend myself.

  • my dad, who is quite overweight, would order the sweet potato french fries at Culver's, after I told him to eat healthier. My mom even supported him - "those are SWEET POTATO fries! that's healthy!". I told them that's not how it works, and it just made them angry.

  • Pre-2014 or so I was 85% Newegg or more.

Post, I've been 85%+ Amazon. I buy from B&H when I can, but honestly Amazon tends to dominate the PC partlicker list.

To clarify - I removed Newegg from the vendor list. Won't even look at them.

  • +1 for Pop!_OS

Using it (as my first real use of Linux) a few months now, and I have yet to find a game that doesn't work.

Turned away from mint/Ubuntu because they definitely pre installed more. There are almost no included installs that I don't use on Pop, very clean.

It's also a frequently updated "stable" release- it gets kernel/driver/more updates every 2 weeks or so. They should really add the update# to the iso, because "22.04" alone makes it sound old.

I have 3 running Pop, soon to be 4. ( Try to switch kids over)

  • PopOS is what got me into Linux, and the only one that worked "out of the the box" for the handful of things I wanted, esp remote desktop.

Yes, anecdotal, but I'm running 3 PCs on Pop and loving it.

Edit: reading the article, and graph, it also looks like the field is more crowded in general. Also, would be good to see total installs over time, not just %.

  • I can confirm that PopOS 22.04 is definitely running on X. wayland is officially coming when Cosmic releases.

That said, I see that Wayland is "available" if I want to manually switch to it - but it is definitely disabled as a default (and current) setting.
