  • I don't know if they'll rig the actual vote directly but the DNC will most certainly spend hundreds of millions to make him look like the devil incarnate leading up to the election even if it means getting a Republican in office. They already did this in 2016 and 2024.

  • Can you pull both these on both sides toward the center of the drawer and lift it up?

An alternative solution is to just glue the crack where it sits and leave it be. I assume CA glue will still dry in the fridge and they make an activator spray to make it work faster IIRC. Not sure what is to be gained by removing, gluing, and reinstalling it.

  • Out of the roughly 20 drives I've bought over the last decade or so, the only two failures were Seagate and they only made up five of the drives purchased. The other 15 are WD and all have been great (knock on wood).

  • Escrow isn't a requirement. The only requirement is that you pay your taxes and insurance whether you have someone else doing it or do it yourself.

What varies from place to place is how property taxes are calculated. Many places "lock you in" to a rate when you buy and only reassess when the property changes hands. In my state, the rate just increases by 3% every year regardless of whether you sell or not so nobody is hit with a big surprise bill.

  • Not to say 80 year olds should be driving, but a 14 year old kid has nowhere near the same amount of need for a car as an 80 year old would and the 14 year old can just as easily hop on a bike or have their parents drive them somewhere. I would hope an 80 year old wouldn't have their parents driving them to the grocery store or doctors appointments.

  • By "legacy manufacturers" you mean every major auto manufacturer in the world that isn't based in China?Nobody else is selling new cars for as little as $4k because other countries aren't using slave labor in mines and factory floors. It's impossible to compete against that unless you engage in it yourself.

  • The federal government ended the the EV subsidy a few years ago.

Buyers of any EV not just American EVs.

lmao. We know what slavery looks like, you can see it in the cotton fields outside Angola Prison, rows of enslaved people, and overseer on a horse, all behind barbed wire.

I'm glad you find slavery so comical.

Were these inmates enslaved for their religious beliefs being different than the official party line? We they imprisoned for not wanting to be controlled by a dictatorship? No. No they weren't.

Through 1 and 5 year plans, the CPC uses SoEs (and sometimes just asks private companies "nicely") to ensure the foundational inputs, steel, rubber, chips, college graduates, etc are all available to industry at the specific price point and volume that competing private firms need to produce say, 100m EV or a million more apartments.

Gee, it sure sounds like you're listing even more slavery than I mentioned. Imagine Trump declaring that every college grad needs to make themselves available to build a border wall.

Any country can do a little central planning to make sure private industry has what it needs, but this only works if you're able to take action against companies that exploit the system.

The only exploitation mentioned here is the government exploiting the people. It seems your argument is based on your warped belief that if the US is committing atrocities than it's okay for everyone else to do so, yet your examples are in stark contrast to what's happening here. Your views are frankly quite disgusting and proof of how absurd the Chinese government's propaganda arm is.

  • Ive heard that many Republicans are pissed at Trump and Co about the lack of progress here since child trafficking was a big part of the QAnon bullshit. On the left, many people were willing to forgive genocide to get a paltry win at the ballot box so I can't say either side really has the high ground.

  • Its rumored that Epstein was working with Israeli Intelligence so they probably have big files on many prominent Democrats and Republicans which is why everybody talks a big game about releasing the client list (if it exists) but never follows through. Its stuff like this that exposes the real game that both these parties are working together against the American people. The party always comes first.

  • I wouldn't add a new glass sheet + magnetic sheet + PEI sheet on top of the original bed on a bed slinger because this is probably at least twice the weight of stock, which will cause issues when you get it moving back and forth rapidly. Think of how agile a petite individual can be compared to someone the same height who weighs 300lbs.

  • Just get the $25 magnetic sheet and PEI plate, and slap them both on there. If you do go the route of a new aluminum bed, you can heat this bed up to 80 or 90C and then peel the heat pad off of it and stick it onto your new bed. I did both these on my old Sidewinder X2 but didn't notice much benefit to the aluminum bed (the OEM glass bed was slightly warped and concave), so I didn't find it worth the money to be honest. I think it's worth trying in stages since you're not really out any money if you decide the simpler and cheaper solution doesn't cut it.
