Stopped at a red right arrow to the Eastern freeway onramp. Bogan guy behind honks me, sticking his arm out the window waving and shouting expletives at me to go.
Light goes green, so I say to my wife to watch on as he overtakes. And he overtakes rapidly, accelerator to the floor.
Is a novated lease (which in my case includes insurance, fuel, and registration) really as good as companies make it sound, compared to just buying in cash?
I tell my wife to do 5 instead (and double that in poor conditions), because frankly speaking, 2 seconds isn't much if a turkey somewhere in front decides to conduct a brake check.
Her colleague was involved in an accident on the m1 this week (she is ok but very shaken up), caused by a brake checking idiot a few vehicles ahead.
This morning I almost got done by a muppet running a red light.
Also this morning, I witnessed a semi trailer tailgating a car... literally like 1.5 meters (less than 1 second) at 100kmh, as well as a few near misses, on the Eastlink.
Not really lol. My wife bought something but didn't provide further comment, and I gagged at the idea after arriving there, since I dislike lollies, desserts and anything sweet and/or sugary in general.
On other road news, on my forward trip tonight I drove past a vehicle with a few blokes inside, windows down, singing the barbie song at the top of their lungs.
Mmm sour cream with corn chips, potatoes, fries...
