  • Cyclist insurance is primarily so expensive (here) because cyclists here are fucking morons with no affinity for personal safety and responsibility.

I understand their plight as a motorcyclist (as well as other vulnerable travel methods) However, in my experience acting like shit and expecting everyone else to ensure YOUR safety is not a very appropriate way to stay safe.

I actively behave on the roads as if being targeted by a bit squad. I have had one accident in my entire driving life that could be considered my fault. Yet, when speaking with cyclists etc. All they have to talk about is their latest near fatality that most certainly wasn't their fault! No sir they had absolutely no hand in it!

  • Couldn't give a fuck, there's already far too much bad blood regarding any form of AI for me.

It's been shoved in my face, phone and computer for some time now. The best AI is one that doesn't exist. AGI can suck my left nut too, don't fuckin care.

Give me livable wages or give me death, I care not for anything else at this point.

Edit: I care far more about this for privacy reasons than the benefits provided via the tech.

The fact these models reached "production ready" status so quickly is beyond concerning, I suspect the companies are hoping to harvest as much usable data as possible before being regulated into (best case) oblivion. It really no longer seems that I can learn my way out of this, as I've been doing since the beginning, as the technology is advancing too quickly for users, let alone regulators to keep it in check.

  • Yeah I find it hilarious that rather than work to lose some weight (for their health, but also their dignity) these same folks go and buy SUVs to maintain their dignity and comfort.

Unless you are genetically predisposed to such things, obesity is a choice (or a long line of poor ones).

I am the first my family has seen that isn't borderline obese(in generations) the only difference is I eat a balanced diet and exercise.

I'm absolutely disgusted that the obesity rates have been climbing to a shocking degree for decades, the fatdemic has even begun to spread to Australia.

I can understand and empathize with the elderly aspect of SUVs, however regarding obesity it's just an enabler. The amount of times I've nearly died on the road here, to some fucking SUV with a fat fuck driving (while eating no less, also a crime here as it counts as distracted driving) are incalculable.

  • Yeah we had some legend turn one of our sewage aeration pipe outlets into a Mario flower, whole city went nuts over it.

Removed within 48hrs because it "wasn't authorized"

    Fucking joke.

  • As a lifelong windows user, 10 is my last windows, I've heard nothing but garbage from those I know running win11.

I will be switching, it's just a matter of distros, better support for gaming/vr/drivers etc.

I've been messing around with Ubuntu on an Orange Pi 5 and so far, apart from gnome (even with extensions) I'm really pleased and feel much more in control of my hardware.

The moment I heard of ads in the start menu on 11 I vowed it won't happen, and yet the bing bar showed up on my desktop last week after am update. Needless to say I've already been into the registry to fix that issue, but yes, that basically sums up how I feel, and I know most I know feel the same re: MS Windows at this point.

  • I've lived this, I'm still recovering from nerve damage caused by some guy stepping out of a garden bed late at night in front of my tram wearing all black. Should've flattened the cunt, maybe folks will stop walking out when they read of the deaths in the news. It's a huge issue here, and I'm glad I don't drive trams any more, I make 70% of my previous earnings for 1% of the bullshit, and I work maximum 4 days/wk now.

Edit: nerve damage caused due to shoulder sublux during panic emergency braking.

  • Yeah I really gotta pull my finger out and contribute more, I feel my commenting holds much more weight, and is considered far more fairly than on Reddit, but I have yet to make a post or a community.

    Super lazy engage
