if I can sneak in some sleepy pills I'd do it. fall asleep and wake up two days later really hungry, stinky, sore, and rich as fuck.

if i can't I wouldn't. many people don't realize how dangerous sensory deprivation can be on larger scales than a couple hours. many people try to kill themselves to escape lighter/easier situations than you e described here

I think it's kinda sweet for a kid. I mean what's cooler than a robot when you're 7? that's pretty much the pinnicle of "cool" at that age, or at least it was for me. So to compare a crush to a robot for a kid is similar to shakespear comparing thier lover to "a summer's day" or Selena Gomez comparing thier lover to "a love song"

yeah this is pretty much why I don't trust ddg as much. at the same time, I really haven't investigated ecosia that thoroughly, so it's possible they could be just as bad but afaik they at least haven't been in any controversies like that, so that's good enough for me right now

what email client do you use? I bought a domain with the exact same goal in mind, but I'm kinda new to self hosting / homelabs stuff and everywhere I look makes self hosting email seem extremely complicated

I'm almost just as green as you, so if anyone else comments here you should probably follow their advice over mine, but the only distro I've tried with no monitor/Nvidia driver headaches has been Kubuntu. the kde desktop is still very familiar to windows by default and so far everything just works for me, might be worth a shot if you can't get it figured out with mint.

try switching from Wayland to x11, or vice versa. I've heard they can cause wonky things like this

I never tell them to drop the act, that makes them ghost me immediately haha. that being said, it's only not been a scam once, and even then it sorta was? idk lol what happened was some only fans bot made a group chat on Reddit for a bunch of people in alphabetical order, which ment I was now in a GC with about 15 other variations of the name "Caboose". it was pretty fun NGL, added a couple of those caboose guys on discord. I think the bot that made the GC never needed up even saying anything in the chat, so it was just all wholesome username family moments

I always accept these just to see what kinda grift it is, sometimes it can be kinda fun to lead scammers on when you figure out what they're looking for. you can dangle it just out of reach and keep them hooked doing really dumb time-wasty stuff for hours if you're talented at it
