oh my God

I'd never heard of it so I looked up the synopsis on Wikipedia and holy **** I cannot believe the sheer volume of horrible things happening. every fucking line I was going "dear Lord, it gets worse???" I cannot imagine seeing this as a child. how did your parents not realize how fucked up it was and turn it off in the first couple minutes? I am astounded something like this even exists, what could possibly be the audience for this? people with a craving to just watch the world burn??? I simply do not understand. truely, you are most deserving of being at the top of this thread. if there were only one forget-a-movie pill made for all the world to share, I would give it to you, no question. my condolences for your murdered childhood innocence after watching that. holy fuck.

I am neutral on the show. I don't hate it, nor do I love it. can you explain to me what's so bad about it? it seems like a generally unremarkable show to me

being un-googleable is seriously underrated. if I ever had kids I'd give them the most common names possible for exactly that reason. Sure it can be annoying when you're the 8th John in your class but that's a lot easier to get used to than the amount of bullying and harassment you could get for having a really uncommon name, especially if it's a silly name or shared name with garbage famous person

oh besides notifications. liftoff doesn't do pushes which is a little annoying

I got used to liftoff where I could have up vote and down vote arrows on the right, so it's disappointing that I can't seem to find that option here on boost. don't feel like reaching for those vote buttons, otherwise I haven't noticed any remarkable differences from liftoff

mine started with valve. just hearing about them making contributions to stuff like wine or proton for free at first, then getting my hands on a steam deck and being introduced to Linux for the first time, and it was all downhill from there

yeah I think you're right, with that kind of extra detail I wouldn't have been confused. even the article itself didn't make it clear what the context could have been, it sounded like they were casually driving and the officer just blindfired into his car for no other reason than "criminal bad" y'know? the fact that the man was about to ram through a roadblock or that the family gave up their protest after seeing the footage should have been front and center

I've never heard of matrix before, is it analogous to discord? I didn't see it on the Google play store

I'm curious how this could even happen in England, I thought their police force was totally different from the US? I thought they only used guns as a last resort instead of as a constant threat of their gangster-style authority? was this some sort of very strange circumstance? was the cop who did it some kind of deranged murderer who somehow infiltrated the police force? or are cops around the world just not as different as I thought?

edit: this wasn't meant to make a statement about English and American cops being similar, I'm just an idiot. was only trying to ask for more context (which I have now gotten).
