I been posting to my little !elderscrollsonline@lemmy.world one for months. I think there have been under 5 people who've posted other than me in the last year. !motocross@lemmy.world as well, and that one I think I've been the only one to comment aside from when I asked if the community was dead lol.

No, I'd say you aren't making excuses. You're just worrying about the wrong things. You needed help, I assume you're getting help now. Let them help. If this is what's being recommended, I'd listen

Brother, I'd think about how you can not mess up the same way in the future, not about how your appearance is gonna be or how you might not be able to beat it. It seems like you're just wanting everyone to ignore what you did because it effects you negatively.

I don't think anyone is trying to minimize your issues; it's not usually as black and white as it seems. However, your issues have made others need to step in for the community. You've taken it out of your hands and involved others, can't go back. I'd say at this point, it's best to let go and atone how society sees fit.

Homie, it doesn't matter. This is one of those most basic societal rules; don't harm others (some exceptions like self defense, etc) and then don't do shit with kids. You are the adult, it is entirely on you to police yourself. It seems you weren't able to, so others have stepped in. If that's what it takes, that's what it takes.

I got a Gulikitt KK3 Max and have really liked it so far. I got one because I got tired of having to resynv my Elite 2 to the PC via Bluetooth (it NEVER saved it as a device, some kinda issue I imagine switching from Xbox connection to BT), and I wanted to try to get out of the Elite 2 swap every 7 months. No complaints so far, other than I can't monitor battery level. I like the back paddles more too, they are more spaced than the Elite.

Hall effect sticks, swappable ABXY mechanical buttons, and the triggers can be mechanical switch with the trigger stops engaged. Really nifty controller.

It doesn't make any sense to me. I feel like all I ever hear is the RBR car is basically tuned to Max, and others have to adapt, and then they get almost no time to adapt.

Not to say I think Lawson should be in that seat, but even if not, 2 races in a car no one can drive isn't representative of his ability.

Would the version of lemmy your home instance is running also effect your app experience as well, just put off curiosity?

I updated my original comment, it seems there was a hiatus to development. As of 2 days ago, he's working on getting parity with .09. I'd say it is being developed, just not on great timelines. But I've had his stuff on Reddit, I've had it here. Fairly sure it's just one dude. Maybe I'm too patient, or my expectations too low, but I've been fine with it. I think someone mentioned spoiler tags don't work, but I've seen that maybe half a dozen times in a year, so it doesn't really register to me.

Would every version change of Lemmy necessitate an update to the app, if it's just background stuff to lemmy and federating stuff? I'm hardly an expert, but if the information is packaged in a practical way to the app, changes to lemmy versions wouldn't necessarily require an app update unless there were changes to the protocol, I imagine? Looking at the changelog for 8 and 7 wouldn't look like it would effect the app, or cause it to miss features.

Not to say you are wrong or me right; he was always responsive and on it with the Reddit app, so my overall experience may have me biased towards his side with less justification.

I mean fair, but if there is nothing to update, what would there be to do?

Ooo I had seen that, but I rarely use the website so I just assumed it was an issue with markdown in general. He was fairly responsive in the reddit for the app, I wonder if there is one here that he responds to?

Has it needed an update? He was really good with the Reddit app. If there isn't an active problem with the app tho, it may not need updated. It's what I use, and I haven't had any issues with it

Edit: just to get onto my parent comment, he is working on an update for 0.19.9 features, posted 2 days ago. It seems there may have been some departure from regular updates, so hard to defend that, but seems like he's back on it?

I left Reddit because of the 3rd party app ban. The core ethos of the Fediverse was not what was appealing for me. It is a feature, to be sure, but it wasn't why I came here. I just like the Reddit format, and aside from Reddit, I don't know anywhere that aggregates content and discussion on the scale Reddit does (aside from this side of Fediverse now). If it wasn't the 3rd party applications, I definitely would be jumping ship with the current censorship, so leaving was inevitable.

With Bluesky, I just do not care about it. If Bluesky didn't exist, I wouldn't have a Mastodon account. I only had a Twitter account because my brother and friend told me in college that if I didn't make one, they would make one on my behalf to tweet about me and my daily stuff, lol. Bluesky could come out 3 hours from now and announce that it will donate all revenue to the GOP, and I'd just delete the account and be done with the format. It's purely a protest account, and I landed on Bluesky instead of Mastodon in the moment. And because I don't care about that format, I have no reason to want to migrate the account to Mastodon. And, if I somehow do come to care about that format in the future, I'd rather start completely over on Mastodon than have an old account with old stuff on it.
