I think it’s totally legit to hate nvidias proprietary thing. You just have to realize that we live in a time when arguments are never in good faith, especially on the internet. “It looks bad” may as well mean “it hurt my feelings”

It’s also (western) safety standards. Even small cars are larger; compare an 80s Corolla to a 90s to a 2010s. Compare bmw 3-series across the same time span. To make cars safer for occupants, you need more metal and more space. So they got larger.

Public transit would be great if you didn’t have to ride with other people. That’s my real problem with it in America at least; there are always loud and gross people aboard. My town has phenomenal bud infrastructure, but people drive because it’s faster, and because you don’t have to be around undesirable people.

Maybe public transportation where each person or group could ride in their own automated pod, which would be publicly owned. That way you could still go skiing/hiking/etc, since mass transportation to those places is very difficult due to low volume.

Oh god I love those sorry, it’s probably my fault. A regular old bitter IPA or with citra is perfect for me, and lately everywhere I go has like 10 beers I want. It’s amazing and I’m very happy.

Why are you in favor of it? They wanted to build one near me, and I think it would bring more people and more traffic into an otherwise quiet neighborhood. I think it would also take away part of the exclusivity of the neighborhood, and lower property values (or otherwise make them grow more slowly)

I’d love to go electric but most of the electric vehicles I’ve seen are a) luxury and b) small. Like I want something large that can pull a trailer and haul my kayaks/bikes/skis/tools/etc.

So an actual SUV (not a small suv like Tesla X) sounds great, but all this luxury shit is a big turnoff for me. It’s going to get beat to hell, and I don’t want to worry about fixing all this electronic shit like pop out door handles. I don’t even want power windows or AC.
