  • I like having Siri in my car when she works. Like when my phone properly wirelessly connects. But when it doesn’t, I hate it, and would be better without it.

Also why the hell can’t CarPlay use the radio, when the car has a radio. Why can’t those two things talk to each other. Fucking dumb.

  • Zoning reforms sound great.

One of my biggest issues with increasing housing is that many Americans store their wealth in their house. Home ownership is the retirement plan for many, or the generational wealth plan. So how can we build housing without devaluing existing housing?

The answer is to build more multi-family housing, which doesn’t really compete with single family housing for price. The former is mostly for rent, while the later is for owning.

  • This is dumb as rocks

The most charitable interpretation is “well crocodiles didn’t change in the last 100 million years but birds did so that means maybe crocs are closer since birds evolved to get farther away”

That’s dumb because both birds and crocodiles have been changing the whole time. Just because crocs look more similar to their fossils, doesn’t mean they haven’t been evolving/drifting/etc.

Same thing any time someone talks about “sharks haven’t changed”. It’s dumb.

This is some dunning Kruger shit.

  • In my country there was like 10 wonderful years when almost nobody smoked.

In the last 5-10 years all that got reversed by vaping, it’s everywhere now. Not as bad as smoking though.

  • Any policy can disproportionately affect the birth rate of one group vs another. Is improving abortion access eugenics? Is incentivizing having children via the tax code eugenics because those incentives are stronger for some groups compared to others? Is for-profit healthcare eugenics because it makes it more difficult for poor folks to safely have children? Are fossil fuels eugenics because they lead to higher infant mortality in poorer industrial areas?

No, none of those things are eugenics
