  • Well of course I could go look at the source code. We had to write a hello world Linux module in college. Was just being lazy and thought some expert might give a quick synopsis.

Though based on your reply, I’m guessing they are more different than I imagined.

  • But spam pays the bills?

  • How different is the FreeBSD kernel from the Linux kernel?

Like in terms of interfaces, if I were to port a device driver, am I just changing some header files and some constants/enums/ifdefs?

Or there’s like entirely different function signatures / APIs?

  • But the food is delicious.

  • WE DID IT LEMMY

  • Only needs the top panel.

  • Goofus does not care about climate change.

  • In your source code

  • This quote has been popular since long before tech-libertarians were a thing.

  • Rather it probably just makes everyone else more nervous for no reason.

  • Right, and then these comments about “encrypted database” the server application needs to be able to access that data, so it will have the key in its config somewhere right?

  • Cowboys still exist today, and they have running water, medical care, etc. so if we are talking modern cowboy I’ll go with that. But otherwise yeah I bet samurai had the best amenities.

  • X-Men signing in.

  • It’s a sueance

  • It’s for the context impaired.

I had to open the comments and read the first one before I got it. I don’t immediately think of musk or Roman numerals when I read a meme. Though maybe I should be doing that.

  • Lol I love it. “I’ll send you a shit.”

  • Unpossible
