  • The efficiency of this is amazing, instead of actually sending it up, and waiting for it to blow up, they have figured out how to blow it up on the ground BEFORE launch. This is the kind of efficiency we need in government programs.

  • “Consent is not saying no,” said Equality Minister Aurore Bergé. “It’s saying yes, an explicit yes, freely, without constraint or ambiguity.”

You have to actively express consent. This is the standard in many countries now, and it's the right standard, because a person can be too scared to resist or even say no.

  • This picture may seem shopped, in part because the cockpit seems oversized.
But you have to remember the cockpit is designed to fit American pilots.

    We hope this explains everything,

  • You are missing the point that size makes a difference. Obviously SpaceX has the technology to do what Honda did, but SpaceX can do ti with a real rocket.
But they can't do it with the bigger Starship rocket. Scale matters.

  • Can you read the article? Does the link work for you? I was not asking about the incident, I know roughly what happened.
If the link doesn't work, it is not referring to an article.

    Rule 6.

Thanks, I just found out it's location restrictions.

  • Hypothetically, we could terraform Venus.

Mars is the best option we have, which is why I mentioned that. Venus already has selfenforcing runaway global warming, and we can't even land a probe there, because the environment is extremely hostile.
Mars is by far the easier option.

  • "Russia does not care who represents Ukraine in negotiations, but insists that any final agreement must bear the signature of legitimate authorities."

No doubt Zelensky is the legitimate leader of Ukraine, but who does he imagine should sign for Russia?

But honestly Putin can piss off with his constant ridiculous preconditions. Although of course that's up to Ukraine to decide.
But I don't blame them if they just send him this response: 🖕

  • Whatever they tested it's probably proof of that, but such a small rocket and only 300 meters means that a lot of things were not really proven, because scale is a HUGE issue.
Just ask Elon Musk / SpaceX, the Falcon rocket is fine, but Starship is horrible. And the difference is scale.

  • This wasn't much more than a toy rocket:

6.3 m in length, 85 cm in diameter,
The test was completed successfully, the first time Honda landed a rocket after reaching an altitude of nearly 300 meters.

But still they were successful on their first try, so we will have to see where they take it from here. 🚀

  • It's the only planet we can terraform (As in repairing some of the damage we've done), we are nowhere near able to terraform Mars, not even theoretically and disregarding cost.
Maybe in a century we can. But only maybe.

  • Pixel phones were never bleeding edge performers, so I don't think that's the only problem.
I'm guessing there is more to it than the article is mentioning.
Maybe Google was getting huge discounts, and even that wasn't enough to keep their business.
So my guess is the problems with value is not just the yields and performance.
I'm sure Samsung is very well aware of the differences between TSMC and Samsung 3nm process, But they probably miscalculated the value of their own process, and they may already have production running at a loss, for sure their margins must be razor thin.

  • Keith’s note: a few minutes ago, during a routine pre-flight test, SpaceX Ship 36 blew up.

That and a video-clip of the explosion is all the info there is.

I have to hand it to them, they've become way more efficient, so they can now blow the ship up before launch! 🤣
