  • My grandpa got a pool table in his basement in a very similar stair condition. To this day, I have no idea how beyond the fact that he had a come along tied to a 4x4 across the basement door. We just left it down there when we sold the house.

  • That's the only problem? What about how the blinds are outside of the tub, directing all the water directly to the floor?

  • Oh yeah, I don't think he's going to be doing that either. I think this is plain old uninstalling pre-installed HP stuff and hoping for the best kind of situation.

Mint is definitely at LEAST as easy to install as Windows, if not easier. As long as all the stuff on his laptop is supported out of the box. I love my Mint install, but last month I spent 40 minutes on github trying to find the right release of the open driver to work with my revision of network adapter, and the amount of work in the terminal was undoubtedly more than somebody asking this question would be comfortable with.

  • Yeah, I'd say that is too complex as well. I kinda think his best bet is uninstalling whatever HP crap he can, and just hope for the best.

  • I'm concerned about OP's ability to upgrade a drive based on the nature of the question. I'd like to also throw in some help with cloning a drive.

  • Guy is asking if he can download free software to get more ssd space. And while TECHNICALLY Linux does fit the bill for this (and is awesome), I'm willing to wager OP does not have the technical skill set for it at this time.

  • Can you believe Darrell Brooks attempted to argue for jury nullification in his defense? That was a wild trial.

  • Aww man, who is being mean to Alec? The guy is a YouTube gem.

  • The 1000 is more moddable than the 3000. You can even get an IPS screen for them now.

  • Right? With Adrenaline, a Vita can do anything a PSP can do. Plus Vita things.

  • Yeah, that sucks. What a pain. I'm pretty lucky, almost all my games are on Steam and run great. And for my old stuff, I still have an XP machine. I don't have any special software I need to run at home, either. I've got NX on my work laptop, and Windows is the company's problem there. Good luck with 11, I hope it won't be too much of a pain to debloat for you.

  • Yeah, agreed. I had to be pulled into 10 kicking and screaming. 7 was great. I got used to 10, but never loved it. And now I guess I'm done with Windows, which is kinda sad. I've been using it since Win95.

  • 11.1. Like 8.1.

  • I don't buy hardware until it drops below a certain price point, so when I finally have a PC capable enough, the game price is coincidentally also lower.

  • Jeb!

  • This makes me think of The Thing. Like, it's mimicking the spaghetti and everything. So, it is just imitating eating itself. Not actually biting or chewing anything.

  • Thanks. The T-BB18 is definitely bigger than the modern m575. And even though I don't have huge hands, it is still more comfortable to me. I made an ergonomic stand for it, too. Totally copied the concept from one somebody did for the m570, but it had to be bigger and have completely different mounting.

  • I've had mine since 2004. I've replaced the cord 3 times, and designed a 3D printed replacement scroll wheel for it. It's still going strong.
