Well, that's the dumbest thing I've read in a while. I have a Trackman from 2004 that's still plugging along, no subscription software updates required. If your stuff isn't shit, it lasts forever anyways.
I have quite a few. My wife's favorites are Versace Eros, Versace Dylan Blue, and Dior Sauvage. My personal favorites are Mont Blanc Explorer, Mont Blanc Explorer Ultra Blue, and Viktor Rolf Spicebomb Fresh.
The Pontiac Aztek. It had awesome features I'd love to have in my car today. Tailgate with molded seats and cup holders. Speakers facing out of the back. A cooler. Foldable and removable rear seating. MP3 cd player from the factory.
Also, Funko Pops deserve more hate than they get. But I don't like figures of any kind, I collect staplers.
Fair points. Controllers work in big picture mode, but I get what you're saying. But on the other hand, the Steamdeck and Proton have done a lot for making Linux gaming more accessible.
I loved lockdown. I had so much stuff in my chest freezer I got to use, we both lost a bunch of necessary weight due to actually following serving sizes. I beat like, three games in my backlog. Didn't have to visit anybody, didn't have to leave the house. I worked from home, and worked enough to pay off my student loans and buy two luxury watches. Plus donate to my alma mater's fund for students stuck on campus. That was after my month long furlough, that is. Where I spent my time baking and cleaning and painting and every week I trimmed my facial hair into worse and worse creations to annoy my wife. We got an inflatable hot tub. I set up a project in the basement. We got a dog. It was one of the best years of my adult life.
Meh, I don't know if it's strictly a hierarchy thing. I think it's probably more "just" a heteronormative thing. Closed-minded people who don't like things or people that are different. Fear of difference. I'm just speculating, here.
I kind of miss the Win98 install process. I did it so many times.. Tried making a Win98 virtual machine, but it just wasn't the same without all the real floppies. The boot disk, the drivers. The JazzJ Jackrabbit shareware. Good times.
Mine is 2 pages, and I think everyone I've hired has been 2 pages. Maybe it's kinda dependent on the field you're in? Idk, i can't imagine cramming all my proficiencies, jobs, and responsibilities on one page.
Right. When I was interviewing people, I honestly couldn't care less about the CV. I'm an engineer, words are hard. I want a list of your skills, your software proficiencies, and a run-down of your previous jobs along with your responsibilities. When you get here, I'm going to care about finding out how much you know about designing and cad. Then we'll take a tour of the shop to see if the machinery we build is in your comfort zone. We'll have some small talk to get a feel for if you'd fit in with the group, and off you'll go. All said and done, it should be under 45 minutes.
It worked fine for me, I've landed three jobs that way. That was a while ago though, the last time was in 2017. My last two jobs I took because I had some connections call out of the blue. I've been very fortunate in that regard. I can't imagine that would happen again, most of my connections are getting close to retirement age at this point.
Was it the Axim x50? That was a fine looking PDA. I had an Axim x30 and loved it to death. Its death. Then, I got an IPAQ 210. They didn't have any good accessories for that one. No clip on thumb keyboard or anything.
Well, I'm definitely going to try it because some of those third party workbenches look pretty cool. And I like the idea of having CAD software on my new Linux PC. But I have access to NX from work, so it's going to have some big shoes to fill. Looks like there are workbenches for editing meshes like from STL files, which is cool. My license at work doesn't include that. Anyone know if it supports 3DConnexion devices?
I'm one of those people. I've never flown, rarely leave my state. My wife wants to travel, but we haven't yet. I, personally, have no interest in it. Just like sports and most popular movie franchises. I just have no feelings about it at all. It seems like a huge hassle.
I don't live by any family, I don't want to know or talk to people in the community or help them with their problems. I like just using my tax money to pay someone else to handle that. If somebody breaks into Mr. Johnson's car to steal his change, we aren't putting a posse together to find the guy.
And if we were responsible for solving our own crimes, I am going to go from being for gun control to loving the second amendment. Nobody better steal my change, because I value my property more than I value most people. Even my Aldi cart quarters in the cup holder.
