I understand where you're coming from, but myself making a statement that I have experienced something first hand and witnessed others experience such responses to criticism means a lot more than someone saying they have never. It's like someone saying I was bullied in high-school to then have others say I was never bullied in school, bullies don't exist. It's an irrelevant statement and is only trying to dismiss one's experiences.

I'm so sick of this complacency with the idea of paying into social security your whole life to fund the boomer retirees just to have it taken from us as one final fuck you. The vocalized consensus among everyone needs to be its not getting taken from us, if anything it will be fixed and made more robust and any politician that acts to remove it from us will have their heads removed from their bodies.

Social program ensuring free access to Healthcare, mental health treatments, affordable housing, and a minimal standard of living for all citizens would do more to curb violence of all types immediately than fighting inch by inch towards a full gun ban ever will.

Kick it off? Preparing ones self for the worst case scenario is not starting a civil war. Better to have them and not need them than to wish you had when it's too late. Ammo prices will be skyrocketing in a few months. Better buy while you can afford it.
