  • I believe it. I looked into it this past year because the company I currently work for has mediocre health insurance. I honestly don't know how anyone can afford any of the current public options. In theory these options should be better but in practice they're just as rigged as everything else.

  • This past spring I found out that the squirrels planted someone else's crocuses in my yard. I don't mind letting nature do the work for me.

  • These people are so fucking stupid and greedy. They are so busy chasing ways to steal more money that they haven't even thought out all the possible outcomes of their actions. They want to gut employee sponsored healthcare by removing tax benefits that companies enjoy by providing healthcare all while taxing the average person for paying for healthcare. But unless they can do away with ACA people will just start moving to public options. I mean why stick with the shitty plan your company provides if you're just going to get taxed on it all anyways. So the working people get screwed and companies will lose the largest bit of leverage they have over employees. Sounds like a winning plan to me! (/s)

  • I'm a basic bitch who usually sticks to honey mustard but I really like your sense of variety. They all sound really yummy.

  • I would imagine that this is for transportation of medicine that needs to be kept cold like insulin?

  • My personal fall back to get others to open up in any type of conversation is to start talking about food. Comfort food, junk food, family recipes/traditions; it's all good because people can't help but share when it comes to food. I've learned so much about different cultures and some damn good recipes just talking about food with everyone.

  • You remember that episode of the Boondocks where Huey watches junk TV and becomes so exhausted and apathetic that he can no longer think for himself by the end of the episode? That's why I refuse to even attempt to listen to Trump. Honestly I think that's how people get suckered in by Trump; he wears down the mind so much that it becomes too much trouble to think.

  • Oh I love how you played with the light in this photo.

  • Story time! Back in the year of 1999 I took out a student loan for $5000. I didn't actually need the money for that semester so I put the money directly into a CD that had like 4-5% interest on it. When I finally needed the money like 2 years later for my senior year of college, the interest on the CD had paid for the interest of the loan. More surprising I was able to fill out the loan paperwork and the CD paperwork at the same time with the help of a bank representative. These days I've had $4000 sitting in a rolling ladder CD for almost 8 years and barely made $200 back in interest. It's pathetic and not really a mystery as to why people don't bother to save money anymore.

  • Could this be some sort of sorority hand sign? Just taking a quick look web searching I can't find this particular one but that's my best guess.

  • Well that was certainly eye opening, and not in a good way. Begs the question of how the party has ever been able to unite such a diverse group of delusional and hateful people with out the whole group completely thunder-doming themselves.

  • Yea this one got a genuine laugh out of me. Poor soul.

  • Cult of the Lamb and No Man's Sky.

  • That's really awful that you had to experience that. You found a very valid solution to a disability that enabled you to learn and got shit for it. Shorthand is a real skill and professional shorthand is not easy to learn. I remember my mom had a professional secretary's shorthand textbook that I used to love growing up. It was like learning another language and I did end up using some of it in school for my personal notes. Hell stenography is still a valid profession and uses it's own form of shorthand. You are awesome and your teacher was an ass.

  • I saw that "Sofa king funny" comment in another post this morning and wanted to post this gif.

  • Holy shit that is so wrong, and I am here for it.

  • I opened this post thinking the woman in question was some high level C suite worker. Nope she was supposedly working in fast food. This is beyond dystopian. You mean to tell me this fucker walked in a fast food place saw a toddler and an infant behind the counter, recognized that the mom must have just given birth and thought "Yup this is inspiring." I'm honestly speechless. This might be one of the few instances I've ever seen where everyone responding is on the same page with their reaction and rage.

  • Shout out to all my fellow latchkey/free babysitter folks out there. I still resent that I never had a "real" summer vacation growing up.
