  • All the time! Words are cheap and everyone enjoys a compliment, especially those with lower self esteem and a myriad of concerns and doubts. But I compliment everyone when the circumstances call for it, from telling my friends I love their shoes (IDC nor do I have an eye for fashion, but I know they do!) to praising my colleagues, telling them how competent they are at what they do etc etc (it's deserved, plus it keeps the machine running smoothly). If you're mentally agile, have read a book and aren't too consumed with your own insecurities, words should come very easily to you, so don't forget to use them!

  • I agree. I'm really hoping someone just touches up UI and does some upscaling. I don't think it needs anything else to make it more viable and appealing to folks today. 🙏

  • The phrase "I probably lack something fundamental..." is what I'm against. Yeah, it's a bit pathetic IMO to say something like "thanks for letting me try" (what are you looking for here, comfort? Fishing for compliments? Just for talking?) after a certain age, but you'd be crazy to think I'd say anything but "no problem buddy" to anyone who said that, regardless of how I feel about it. What else would any reasonable person do?

    So, at best you have the tisms (being in the spectrum is too common for anyone to accurately say they "lack something fundamental", but it's at least a more accurate statement) and lack a diagnosis, at worst your brain is ok but you're too childish and self-pitying to the degree that makes me side eye you a bit. It's not a big deal, and it's not like I go around telling people to shut up, lol, neither the internet nor the world belongs to me alone and I'm not a villain.

  • Thinking you're that fundamentally different to the rest of the human race because you're lonely and probably improperly socialized is just not it. Maybe you're just a bit on the spectrum, which makes you at most part of a sizable minority, maybe you're just a bit anxious and in your head (and that still doesn't make you special)... It's a show of childish self-pity with aftertastes of vanity, IMO, so what I posted was the first thing that came to mind/heart.

  • Who would answer anything but "chop em all off"? Lol. You can singlehandedly stop world hunger, and you don't even have to give your life for it, just your fingers? A lot of praiseworthy people have given way more for way less. It's a small sacrifice for the betterment of the world, I wouldn't trust any man whose immediate instinct isn't to sacrifice their fingers...

  • I did when I was in the army, and the moment I was in the clear I went back to my vice, lol. But not for any other job (I needed the army for papers!), fuck that. I don't live in the US though so I should be good. 🙏

  • Back when I was a kid in HS I used to party a lot throughout the week (abusive household + somewhat lawless country) and sometimes I went clubbing still with my school uniform on and at least a couple of times I approached groups of visibly older women. Rejected both times but I'd like to believe my arrogance/confidence, which has helped me countless times, should be praised, lol.

  • Often. I just say something like "okay, you might be right/you're entirely right, my bad and thank you". I like to ask and answer all sorts of things, this happens somewhat often, lol.

  • If they were in a 'concentration camp' they would be more chill about non-deadly things, so no. I've only gotten banned from hexbear for wild reasons, apparently the mods in here are more reasonable.
