Since there are barely any new movies I feel truly interested in (and shows, even less so), I guess I do have the time. I just don't have the interest anymore and my tastes, through experience, have developed. I'm a big turn based RPG guy, although I'm also partial to ARPGs a la Elden Ringu, and there are barely any 'decent' games for me to dive into. I'm the kind of guy that plays one game every 4+ months, but if it's not even semi interesting I will delete the game shortly after I pirate it (I'm not paying for disappointment, I only pay after playing and enjoying it enough to feel it's earned). For instance, two years ago I played Outward and modded DOS2, last year I mostly played ER and I replayed Wasteland 3, this year I've played Wartales (and about 20 hours of Clair Obscure, which is still demo time for me, lol) and Tainted Grail (it's okay, better than CO, IMO, so I paid for it), and I'm considering a replay of Xcom 2 (Long War of the Chosen, ofc).

"By law". It's just a convenient excuse for genocidal immorality. It's not like words on paper matter to anyone in power in the West, you'd definitely be blind to think otherwise.

And I do! Hopefully soon, God willing. And why? I need someone to hear me yap about morals and competent screenwriting, my wife wants someone to dress up and pour her love into. Usual reasons, I guess. 😅

It should've always been a thing and in certain places of the world it was. Don't complain about your past cultural norms when I'm advocating for the mere social recognition/public announcement and acceptance of a couple of people of age and reason, which is what I'm talking about here when I say 'marriage'. Women used to be witches to be burned at the stake in the West not too long ago, I'm not at all surprised that women are disregarded and abused still...

I don't have any serious answers, but I do know that it's important not to let good be the enemy of 'perfect'. And it's also important to remember that we will always make choices with incomplete information, but our choices (like our lives) are time-constraint, so eventually we have to pick a path regardless. Are you sure you wanna do AI trading? It's basically gambling with more steps, right? Or at the very least a bit 'esoteric', certainly not a clear way into financial stability. Maybe a trade would be better? Idk. Good luck, friend. 🙏

Could I really know what you believe in and what flavour of upright (or immoral, but I believe people were made "good" so why expect differently?) you are by having a passing knowledge of your exes? I guess if I asked your exes everything about you, maybe, but that assumes they're unbiased sources of information and, c'mon, lol. Or what your political (a derivation of ethics) views are? Or what your triggers and coping mechanisms are? I mean, we could get along no matter what kind of music you listen to/fast food you order, but other stuff like being a violent neo Nazi would evidently bring some friction to our friendship!

I doubt you're as vacuous as you think (certainly more than a collection of products you consume, right?), don't sell yourself short. 😉

I think what you're picturing is way worse than what actually happened (although in all fairness he could've been chanting to Satan while f'ing the seagull, I'm just assuming it's how I picture it).

That's the kind of stuff I'm, today, mature and emotionally stable enough to force myself to lie about, lol. I'm good at yapping so I think that the one time I was asked that I just BSd my way out of it, what else would I do? Should I tell the company that consumerism is vacuous, stupid and immoral and as such they should also consider doing something prosocial instead of selling Nespresso machines?😅
