  • Not necessarily true as there are entirely different reasons for doing each. Only a bad GM would fudge a hit that actually penalized you. A good GM might fudge a hit to take the story in an interesting direction. Fudging rolls is just another tool in the box.

  • Another post about this where people didn't read the article, but jump to anti-American conclusions. This story is about American politicians arguing semantics. The article says that America does contribute to a fund that was agreed upon by many countries in a summit in Egypt. Whether that is fair is debatable, but America is paying in to it.

Every country is refusing to use the term "reparations" because it implies legal guilt, and no country wants to get "sued" by the world.

Again, this is a pointless argument about semantics, and what term to use.

  • It was intentional. They didn't 100% like either site so they made a community on both. They are seeing which they prefer after some use and development.

Everyone here is acting like they're idiots who don't understand the internet. They were high level mods.

  • once you establish a centralized power structure,... it is the literal definition of fascism.

By your definition almost any form of government is fascist. It that's your opinion, fine, but it's not the 'literal definition'.

  • From what i understand it's not a very involved process. Not like you have to go to court and all that. File a complaint, give your side, they investigate.

If the labor board finds wrongdoing, the worker could be rewarded 2-3x what the lost wages were, and the company gets put on shitlist somewhere.

I am far from an expert, but i do frequent workers rights spaces for what it's worth (nearly nothing).

  • Seems odd to be copying others posts to prevent it from being deleted, when I've seen so many users here proudly say they've been nuking all their posts and comments to sow confusion in web searches and prevent reddit from "using their content".

I think the repost bots are awkward. Seeing so many posts in "hot" and "new" with zero comments makes the site feel dead. I don't want to engage with a bot, and it makes it very difficult to find real, user generated content when most feeds are clogged with bot-copied text posts.

  • In my head i call it the "Rule of least want to do". If i have 2-3 tasks that need doing (ususlly work related), i think of which thing i least want to do. That's the thing i get done, then move down the line.

  • Same, joined last week after my app of choice was killed. Already spending more time here than i was at the end of my time on reddit.

Was getting so sick of the rage-bait, low quality comments and general snarky behavior, i might have quit anyway. So much better here.
