  • How much do you really think they would take off of the price tag if you didn't have music? most similar subs are within the same price range....

I always figured youtube music only existed to make the sub more incentivizing. It probably doesn't even cost them anything they aren't already spedning on youtube.

  • Not really, it's more internet in general. And if we look at social media, they have accounts as frustrating as crunchyroll to fully delete but without anything to pirate.

Like it's a fair complaint but, to be fair

If you're trying to delete your account you're already going to a different provider (in this case, piracy), so it's not like you would've happily come back to Crunchyroll just because they let you delete your account easier.

  • I...honestly don't think you're particularly honest about this.

Mainly because Youtube red exists and it's main sell is removing ads, but we already know the answer to that. (Most people don't actually want to buy the service)

And it's not like it's shitty service. It's Youtube without ads.

  • The problem is had the No Man's Sky team did nothing, nobody would've really done anything about it.

And even now there's people who won't come back because of the release issues.

There's just no incentive other than whether or not the company wants to do it, not even much of a reward for doing so.

  • Just a reminder that the popular vote was:
    Donald Trump: 62,984,828
    Hillary Clinton: 65,853,514

A difference of only 3 million, in a vote with 127m

Now this is not to say the electoral college is not an issue here, it certainly is. But even by the standards of the popular vote it was a close race. It is important to stress to people their vote matters because you don't want people to be wishy washy, getting this close, in a race as important as this...cause this is precisely the kind of situation where yeah, it's very likely the electoral college could come into play.

Basically people act like it was a landslide, but we should be encouraging people to make it an actual landslide next time. Because chances are even in a system where an alternate voting element could mess things up, the popular vote will get in the way if it's strong enough.

  • It's really people trying to take a high ground and feel better about themselves.

They want to know they made a choice where the person they wanted was right. Even if that person doesn't win, and the person who does win happens to be a person who makes it even harder for them to get what they actually wanted in the future.

  • Does it? I'd imagine it just makes sense that the tech used for AI in art would be used for art.

I don't see how it would be used for labor without a bunch of other steps.

And as also pointed out, there's tech that, while not specifically "AI", is used to replace labor.

  • While it might not be an issue anymore, just make sure you look up driver support for wireless for whatever laptop you choose.

2 of the laptops I had in the past used a broadcom driver that was just a nightmare to setup on Linux

There's a good chance it's not really a big deal anymore, but if you're new to linux just double check that it's not something you'll run into.
