It was patched over previous versions. You can't play the non-reforged version anymore
It removed features the previous version had. In particular networking
It released with desync issues that would randomly drop players from the game. Wc3 doesn't support rejoin so this basically killed maps depending on how severely they were affected (and note, it even affected normal maps. But custom maps suffered tremendously from this)
Like just given those three points: Why don't you understand?
The fact you even say that custom games improved just makes me think you're being dishonest for some reason...because it wasn't some secret or even rare occurrence. 90% of custom maps were suffering it.
Right, but if we're already using a "Gotcha", and it's...not really as much of a "Gotcha" as we think it is...then i'm basically just saying we gotta have arguments that work on the people we're talking to, not ourselves
Like if anything we're adjusting our speech to make the argument...that is going to have people perfectly willing to latch onto it seriously.
I don't particularly care about the democratic party threat, I care about the uptick in voting issues, the supreme court, and...you know...that the opposing party is trying to vote in someone who attempted to not give up the office
So you know, the recent ones that a lot of people started voting in about.
If you truly believe that's nothing new, i'll just consider you to be part of that astroturfing described above and ask you to stop wasting my time. Seriously.....
How are you hearing it every single election? The main issues didn't start popping up (or at least blatantly enough to change voter turnout) until the 2016 election.
Like that's not nearly enough elections in between to hear the excuse every election.
Has anyone tried explaining that if you allow in the people literally trying to take their rights away, they won't get another chance to vote in a politician against genocide?
Like the genocide is awful but it shouldn't make people forget they have very close to home issues currently happening right now.
To be fair, judging by the fact it's either incest or people getting knives/cleavers put up against their throats, i'm going to go on a wild guess and say it doesn't paint it in a positive light. Maybe even suggests there's something wrong with them.
I do see now you're referring to Famezen which I've reported as well now
I do think it's worth keeping in mind though. I don't personally think the algorithm is a good solution to go to for any little thing on youtube. I've seen it spur people for a variety of reasons.
In fact i'm pretty sure "the algorithim" has been the topic of other mildlyinfuriating threads in the past. Either here or on reddit. I mean it's blocked videos in the past for the color red.
Warcraft III had maps called "RP Maps", which were kindof like D&D placing things, except everyone had the same control over the map. So it became more about telling a story rather than one person leading a group's game for them.
When wc3 kindof died off that kindof game along with many others didn't leave it. SCII mapmakers tried but it had issues with the complexity, and with SCII not allowing traditional saving for long sessions.
A lot of sandbox games are cool, but built around FPS engines instead of anything third person.
I'd honestly say making a new thread for an already discussed topic is better than reviving a 10 year old one. There's no way of knowing any of the people involved in the previous discussion are even still around.
And depending on the topic 10 years may be so old that the issues or answers that were brought forth aren't actually relevant anymore, and would just lead to confusion.
