  • Our agrarian sector is indeed not known for its progressive outlook, so I'm not surprised.

Currently nitrogen deposition is a big issue as it fucks up local plantlife. Their lobby has been downplaying this problem since it became known in the fucking 80's, hindering every political attempt to take action.

Now that the point has been reached where action needs to be taken they are all Pickachu-faced and shouting "how did this happen, it's the fault of the leftwing treehuggers". No, fuck the farming lobby in particular for kicking that can down the lane for 40 years.

Blissfully ignoring the consequences of adverse actions and acting as if nothing bad will come out of it is fully ingrained in their thought process.

  • I expect nothing else from ol' Cheeto Face. He thought John McCain was a loser for getting shot down over Vietnam and being held as a POW, so I can only imagine what he would think of a bunch of guys drowning in a bog.

  • adhd and meditation

  • Personally I've tried, amongst others, transcendental meditation and a form of movement meditation, combined with yoga. Both did absolutely nothing for my day-to-day focus. The only thing which actually did something for my concentration (unfortunately) was medication.

You come across quite hostile, but so far your argument isn't backed up by any scientific evidence, it's just 'meditation is meant to help concentration, so it also should help ADHD'. That's a gross oversimplification of a very complex neurological process.

  • It's great that you are trying to help, but from your comments I get the feeling that you have trouble accepting that meditation just isn't a solution or useful tool for all of us.

Please have a more open mind towards the people who are trying to tell you that meditation doesn't work for them. We are all built differently, what works for one doesn't necessarily works for another.

  • a lot of European countries have a policy of 5 years legal residence -> permanent residence/green card.

I would like to stress that rules vary (wildly) between countries. In the Netherlands for example you'll probably need a sponsor, e.g. a partner, employer or educational institution to qualify for a residence permit.

Ensure you familiarise yourself with the rules of the country you want to move to and don't expect things will be about the same in other EU countries.

  • Only one way to find out.

With this character's death, the threads of prophecy have been severed. You may load a saved game, or persist in this doomed world that you have created.

    Yup..

  • I think it is wild that there are countries that allow this distopian shit at all. Sure, if you're a pilot or something random tests are fine, lives depend on you being fit to fly. But for most jobs having used drugs the evening before wouldn't affect the job, so it should not be the employers business what you do in your own time.
