  • Absolutely. And I did so to afford my family's medical needs, food, shelter, etc. The pay was almost 3x what I made previously, which wasn't a lot. Benefits, flexibility, all that shit. And then they laid off my entire team hahahahahaha

    and I'd do it again

  • When I'm on tour and it's my turn to drive... Oh boy. Always start the day off with this little ditty, just to remind them of what's coming fornthe next four or five hours. They know it's coming, I know it's coming, I laugh, they put blankets over their heads.

  • Not in my south. I had to switch pediatrics to follow my doctor, who left because one of the other doctors and an RN slept with a patient's father. And they were all previously married. Everyone who worked there was attractive and also crazy. The new clinic is still filled with hot people, but they don't sleep with patients' guardians. AFAIK lol

  • The husbands of some of my acquaintances are exactly like this. While I'm generally repulsed by the term Low Value Male, these are the types of men that I think fit the bill. Manly homophobes crippled by their ingrained toxic masculinity

  • I was in a computer class during 9/11. Not fully understanding the magnitude of the events, we basically checked kazaa over and over to see how long it took for a clip from CNN to get uploaded. It was about 5 minutes. We also played tribes (2?) a lot in that class. It's also where I saw my first beheading on the Internet 😢

  • Fark -> reddit -> Lemmy. Before that I checked in on ebaums every Friday lol. Before that I wrote down long af links to dbz pics on post it notes at the library, went home, saw my handwriting, threw them away.

I think my reddit account was 16 years old. You got me beat.

  • I think you could do that with Boost for Reddit, but I can't go check because fuck reddit for breaking my favorite app. Anyway, based on that it may be possible but also Lemmy works entirely differently so... Maybe
