The funny thing about EMTALA, is that it doesn’t apply to urgent care facilities, which is why they’re popping up everywhere. It’s far more profitable for corporations to be legally allowed to let you die from non-treatment if you’re uninsured.

The nursing homes that charge $3,500 a month and run like 1 or 2 staff members 12 hours a night and then call the fire department in if someone needs a lift assist off the floor? Those capitalist cesspools need a massive reorganization.
What a protest that would be. Thousands of the elderly affected wearing nursing gowns and marching like it's the day of the dead against their representatives.

6 months is optimistic. I worked in a nursing home for 5 years. They would last 3 months tops. Dementia side would last weeks.
