The Rock and Con Air are tied for me. Con Air's cast is star studded and Nic Cage with a southern accent is fantastic.

by far the best movie he's ever been involved with. Good performance too. Leaving Las Vegas is another good performance.

Pig, amazing film with a very subtle performance. The scene at the restaurant is absolutely brutal yet without any violence.

I loved the bait and switch where all the marketing suggested it would be a John Wick rip off but the movie turned out to be a lot more original
Pig is a masterclass in not telling the audience more than they absolutely need to know. I've gotten so sick of movies where the dialog repeats itself for the benefit of people who weren't paying attention thirty seconds ago, or else it constantly spells out stuff that rightly ought to be conveyed by the actions of the characters. Pig is the antithesis of that. Characters hardly say anything that they don't need to say, and everything else is left to the viewer to figure out. I fucking love it.

Face/Off. Golden desert eagles, Nic Cage at his cagiest, John Travolta and Nic Cage swapping bodies, legitimately great action scenes, and Nic Cage grabbing a woman's ass while wearing a priest costume. Just an incredible movie.

Seconded. I show this movie to all of my friends that haven’t seen it and they’re always blown away by his performance in that. The bathroom scene is the best.

Best surprise for me was Linglegs. Took a while to figure out who that actor was.

The Color Out of Space, I think he does really well in that and it's scary as fuck.

The Wicker Man, because of the scene with the bees is priceless.

The Color Out of Space is one of the only films that left me feeling genuinely unsettled for days after I watched it. The other film that did this was Bird Box

Plenty of The Rock and Con Air mentions, so I’m going to toss one out for Gone in 60 Seconds.

Yes the writing is terrible and it has its fair share of cringe moments, but damnit I still like it. Perhaps it was the cast, or the weird 90’s/00’s aesthetic, or maybe because I was still in my formative teen years, pre 9/11, aka the before times, but it holds a special place in my heart.

I laughed my arse off at 'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent'. A classic farce like you don't get much these days.

This is actually the only Nic Cage movie I like because I can't stand him, but my love for Pedro outweighs my dislike for Nic Cage.
- It's weird how polarising he is. I wouldn't say I'm a 'fan' as such, but I do think he's one of the most remarkable and fun to watch actors ever. Every role he puts in 1000%.

- Not that recently I'm afraid. But I remember that I was really curious how the story plays out and while it wasn't groundbreaking it was a satisfying twist end.
  Not your regular Hollywood happy end.
