Day 1 of having a Deck and this is a noticeable issue

I tell people I bought the 512 GB version for storage, while I really bought it to avoid looking at my reflection.
- Fucking same. I can't stand glossy screens. Matte is the way to go.

  It's a joke about the glossy screen. When a game is loading and mostly black, depending on the lighting, you can see your face reflected.
Just slap a matte screen protector on and you're good to go!

Just pop a non-glare screen protector on it, and it's fine. It's like a 5-10 $ problem.
People buying a twice as expensive model for a slightly different screen surface are just insane if you ask me. You can also install a proper 512gig SSD for like 60€ or so to get even on storage, also takes 5 minutes.

  When I bought mine on sale it was 375€ or so. I think the 512 version with the different screen surface was 650. Is that double? No, but close enough for a side note in a casual comment. Say hi to your friend for me though, he seems nice.
- At one point the Steam Deck design and engineering team strongly opposed installing a third party SSD for various reasons ranging from power draw to EMI. Is this still the case?
  I've been a tinkerer since I was a child and have no problem tearing into electronics for the hell of it, but I also have the wisdom to listen to people who know more than I do. I'd rather not damage my expensive toy.

It's a good selling point for the 512GB model. I don't have to see how fugly I am during my loading screens.

  While looking forward, head in neutral position, you pull your chin straight back and down slightly. It's good for strengthening the deep neck flexors and extensors. Help with forward head posture. You can look up videos if you want more visual on how it's done.

Just never turn the screen off, play continuously.

The fix is to just stop being ugly.
compared to my laptop and high end fire tablet it barely reflects.
Grab yourself a etched tempered glass screen protector. They'll cost you about $15 for a two pack.
