There is sooooo much weird conspiracy shit in these comments. The government is banning TikTok becuase they collect too much data and the Chinese government could eaisly get access to all of it. The correct thing to do would be to regulate data collection but that would be problematic for Google, Meta, Microsoft, Apple..etc etc... so instead they just ban TikTok. This is what I don't get...everyone keeps saying it is going to be a bad 4 years but most likely this is it we are done. Trump is going to pardon himself for all the shit he did last time in office and now he doesn't need to worry about breaking any laws since SCOTUS gave him immunity. This is going to be horrific. Touchscreens were never popular with customers. Manufacturers kept cramming touchscreens in cars and using them to control everything becuase they were being stupid with new tech.

Edit: I guess I should have been clearer. I was talking about as a replacement for tactile controlls in a car like the article is talking about. Reverse cameras and other things that are good to have a touch screen for make perfect sense but using your touch screen to control your Air conditioning in a way that you have to divert your attention from the road to operate sliders and buttons on a touch screen is dumb as hell.

I would guess there is no way in hell they are going to stop making GPUs becuase GPU development leads directly to their ability to make better AI accelerators. I could see them backing off of CPU prodiction before cutting out GPUs.

When Trump went to the UN as rhe president he either forgot he was talking at the UN and started doing one of his rally speeches or just thought one of his rally speches would be approiate to give there. Either way the entire crowd laughed at him and afterwards Trump really thought he did a great job.
