Maybe people should be more focused on overthrowing a dictator rather than whining about Switch2 game pricing like a bunch of babies.

I will never use Wired as a source for anything.
- Genuine question, is this really the reason why? If it's between this (which I also feel is a pretty low point) and ads, I felt Lemmy would be full of the people who'd rather pay.
Saw on another post that the new price point they are looking at is $599. Nothing confirmed so take with a grain of salt.
- I mean, if 450 is hit with a 24% (Japanese) tariff, you're looking at $558 at least. I'm not sure from which country Switch 2's are imported into the USA from. If Vietnam or Cambodia that would be crazy
- That's the analyst prediction, not something that came out of talks behind closed doors.

The mechanism through which tariffs impact markets is through increased prices.
