Philippines is more committed to war with China than Taiwan is. US has very firm puppet there, and they are choosing self destruction instead of trade with China. They just got rewarded with 17% US tariffs yesterday. Canada, as complete crackhead response to attack from US, made a defense pact with Philippines.
This propaganda was certainly published prior to tariffs.

Seriously, if China doesn't use the current state the US are in, then I dint know what they are waiting for. I wouldn't be surprised if this goes down this year. What a shitty timeline.

They're not waiting, they're preparing. They're currently happily building navy and air force bases on "contested" islands in the South China Sea and nobody, not Biden, not Trump, is stopping them.
What they're doing is commonly called encirclement.
