Google Wallet starts rolling out kids access on Android

After previewing last October, Google Wallet will soon let supervised kids access NFC tap-to-pay on Android phones...

why. literally why. what purpose does this serve?
- We all know why. Because it'll make them money.
- I mean, why would you not want this?
  I really like the idea of my kid having the ability to use my card for things in an emergency, but me being able to control it versus them just stealing my credit card.
  Seems like a pretty great feature IMO. Not sure why everyone seems to want to hate on it.
  
  I dont like the idea of google watching what my kids buy. Edit for context: I dont like the idea of this being used to advertise to children. I dont like the idea of my child being used as a data point. I dont like the idea of a crazy ex who works at google using this to figure out what your kids are doing. I dont like ANY of the consequences of what this implies. Give your kid cash or a gift card. They dont deserve to have their Privacy rights violated before they can consent.
