- We're meant to be in the office 2 to 3 days a week. Even once a week would be too much to live too far away, which is about what we actually do.

Gooood morning! I feel HEAPS better today - maybe it's that feeling you get when any improvement after being sick feels way better than it is. I had the same experience when I had covid tho, had a day of feeling great then crashed again and got worse. Fingers crossed today is not false hope! The sun is really helping! 🌞

I'm putting all the car stuff on hold because I realise it was a huge source of stress and anxiety and unpleasantness that I need a break from (and everything essential has been set up - aside from maybe the dashcam. I feel naked without one).

Instead I'm turning my attention to my hideously neglected plants... they were becoming a source of shame and my seedlings I paid money for are horribly wilted and sad. Well, they're currently being resuscitated in a saucer of water and everything else is getting several drinks to revive the potting mix. I can turn this around! These seedlings aren't dead, and I have plenty of new seeds to start planting!

Also, need tips on what to do with a whole heap of scotch bonnet peppers... I grew the plant without really thinking of how much I'd actually want to use 🤔 I have like 30 little yellow dudes. Maybe this is the time I try making hot sauce?

I vote for hedging your bets... half dehydrated for flakes and half fermented hawt sauce :)
- I don't use chilli flakes that much these days tbh... I feel like they'd get wasted from lack of use. Unless I could start using them in saucier dishes or stews? I mostly used to use flakes for stir fried type stuff, or as a topping with cheese (haven't bought cheese in months).
  I understand SB peppers are known for their fruitiness, I'm wondering how much of that is lost or not during dehydrating - how are they like dried?
  I thought I'd freeze maybe 3-5 whole for chucking into Jamaican stews down the track. And the hawt sauce would be more versatile (I just need to sterilise a damn jar)

Huh. Apparently I'm not crazy. My random allergies/reactions plus issues with scent could be related to an autoimmune disorder.

Last year I planted a spare eggplant seedling in a patch of ground that doesn't really get enough sun. Today it thanked me with two eggplants 🙂🍆🍆 (real vegetable eggplants for all you gutter-minded people).

Well getting up when the energy was buzzing was the right strategy - I've burned through the sorting and clearing so the old bed which was used as a general sorting spot is cleaned off, the bedside table which I'll be using as a TV stand temporarily is cleaned out, and I have a stack of stuff ready to go to the op shop.
I'm at the zombie stage so I've just crawled back into bed and hopefully I'll get some more sleep.

I was driving through Rutherglen when I had the thought to buy dad a bottle of port because apparently that area is famous fortified wine country. Went to the top winery google suggested but they didn't have any, but the guy there pointed me towards another winery up a back road and I ended up getting a lesson and impromptu tastings from the very friendly lady there at Chambers Rosewood Vineyards. Turns out fortified wines are pretty nice!

Can personally vouch that the wineries there are good.

@Seagoon @melbourne Quiet Saturday night in. Wifey and the fur babies are all fast asleep already.

We ended up having Korean for dinner tonight (instead of last night), it was spicy and delicious.

I've also done the washing for the week and changed the beds.

Next week will be busy. We're going to a concert Tuesday night, and I'm taking Thursday and Friday off. Wifey has a surprise planned for Thursday too.

I don't understand the logic behind little sprays of flowers either.
- I don’t care for any print myself, but Boyo has some rather entertaining ones.

- I follow the logic but don’t entirely agree about some shades of red.

I don't understand why they sell a three pack with three different skin tones (1 light pink, 1 tan, 1 brown). I'd rather have three of the same colour because the point of that is to match your skin and blend in under thin/pale clothes.
Or why Bonds puts chunky prominent white writing on the bands of skin tone undies/bras.
Or why most cotton underthings have to be brightly coloured and/or lairily printed.
The logic...
- The three skin tones is weird. I don’t get white either. Utterly impractical. Yes, it’s a throwback to real linen undergarments, but you can’t boil the modern stuff!

This is really weird. My kindle just reset itself, and most (not all, which is even weirder) of my books are gone. Including the one I was halfway through

This happened to me a few months ago. I just re-downloaded the kindle app to my desktop - the books were still there but I had to re-load them.

Bleh. Did some rearranging, washing, chnaged the covers on my bed.

Feels like a still have a billion things to do and clean up and move before the tradies come on Wednesday to install split systems.

  Will have doing more a little later to prepare one room three I have 2 areas left to do.
  At first it was overwhelming though since because of how many rooms needed to have furniture moved.

- I don't eat porridge
That they do. Heat them up for a min or so in the microwave and pour some cream on them. Add berries if you are feeling healthful but these aren't really necessary.

Market shop also complete, so I will eat this week

Art practice... I don't have a fountain pen so am using a ballpoint pen, and it keeps blotting. Also I was doing it from my wrist for finer control (knew I was making a mistake) so my wrist now hurts 😢

Are Chiko rolls good in an air fryer?

Yup. I've been through a couple of boxes in my time.
- Does the lack of oil affect the taste much?
Should be. If they're frozen I'd microwave them first then airfry.
- Naw straight in frozen. The box has air frying instructions and they come out good.

Does anyone here use Tubi tv and movies?

I keep getting info that movies are on Tubi but then I can't find the movie on Tubi after searching or just browsing

@Seagoon It might be that some films are only available on there in the US, but not Australia?

  These are indie movies so it Looks like the high seas for me.
I tried it a couple of times but it didn't have a lot of stuff I wanted. Ginger Snaps is allegedly on there but isn't available yet

Still feeling good, fingers crossed I'll be all clear for Monday. Gardening pt 1 done, onto pt 2 tomorrow. Bok choy and tatsoi seedlings going in along with radish and coriander... and I SWEAR I bought beetroot seeds but still can't find them...

Gonna do some meal prep too: arroz verde to go with prebought chili sin carne, and maybe upma and a carrot-and-guar bean masala with defrosted curry leaf chutney. And I will start on the hot sauce!!!

Also looking up hoki recipes for the frozen fillets I bought from Aldi a couple weeks ago. Never cooked with it before, fresh or frozen. Perhaps a Thai green curry?
