  • With these policies, I'm happy to welcome Bottom-racer as dictator.

  • I survived day one of my new job and nobody is obviously crazy, I'll take this as a win.

The good news: there is an office dog (!).

The bad news: the office dog (and her mum) is on leave for next few weeks and the office is currently dogless.

  • First day of new job tomorrow. It should be good but I'm in a bit of a "what if they hate me because I'm not wearing the perfect outfit" headspace.

  • I have eaten too much sticky date pudding and I may never move again.

  • It really doesn't come my way often. I recommend impending visitors with a tight deadline.

  • I had a spot of cleaning mojo and vacuumed and mopped the floors. I now have nice clean floors but the kitchen's too wet to go in and make a cuppa. Boo.

  • There are so many great works, but the digital bin chickens outside NGV always make me smile.

  • An expensive, gourmet coffee cake. I really hate coffee.

I was given such a cake at work many years ago and felt obliged to eat a piece to be polite. They meant so well. It was so revolting.

  • I had the strudel and I just chucked it in the oven. I didn't bother glazing it with milk as the instructions tell you to, there's no need. It just comes out a bit less shiny and glossy, but equally delicious.

  • Happy birthday! Enjoy the sunshine 🌞 🎂

  • In the city this morning. It's damp.

And far too many people seem to think that their down puffer jackets are waterproof. Nope, you're going to be cold and wet.

  • I've just made peace with the fact that my fringe is permanent now. If I couldn't deal with growing it out in lockdown, I'm stuck with it.

  • Indeed, he's a really happy man. And now it's in my head too.

  • I would try something like this, on sale at Myer for $50. Reputable hair care brand, salon motor.

  • Thanks, I'll check it out!

  • For anyone living in the past like me- a reminder that MS Publisher goes away after tomorrow, export those files.

I use it for two files that are updated once a year. I'll have to finally move them to Canva I reckon, and mess around with all the formatting.

  • Have you looked into 'weekend migraines'? It can be the change in routine or change in stress levels that's the trigger. There might be something you can identify and change.
