Wow. I am wrecked. That was a hectic week and I have nothing left. Want to be productive round the house...want to go out in the sun. Could barely muster up the energy to make lunch. Bed and movies this afternoon I think.

Did my first blood donation today. Usually do plasma donations. So much faster, only took 6 mins for 470 mL but 3 months until I can donate again.

4:13 is my record. Not that I've managed to donate in under 5:00 for over 10 years. But, I still sit there squeezing that handle in a vein (ha!) attempt to try.

I hadn't had Ribena since I was a little tacker. It just slipped my mind for all those years.

Grabbed a bottle a few days ago and I honestly can't stop drinking it lol

It tastes pretty nice but has a LOT of sugar in it. I stopped drinking it when my boys outgrew it, and I discovered that the Tasmanian factory that makes it was owned by Her Late Majesty Lizzie as a personal investment. Now owned by KCIII I think but don't know for certain.

Gosh, that brought back memories. Where I grew up you used to also get it in cartons at vending machines or neighbourhood shops and it was my favourite drink after school if I had money. We rarely had any fruit juice at home but my mum always had a big glass bottle of low-sugar Ribena in the fridge with the embossed blackberries on the glass surface. Fun times enjoying a cool glass after school and flicking on the TV or lying down with the fan on full blast reading the comics in the papers

Does anyone else get a weird "uncanny valley" vibe from AI art/voice/music?

I don't know how else to describe it. Especially the visual art. I fucking hate this word so much, but it's a bit "ick"

I hate AI /fake voice /fake narration with a passion
it sounds dead , there is no mind, no feeling, no hesitations, no mistakes , the pace is always the same, no rests for minds to take in a point

There are far nicer ones than this out there. You want one that'll let you pick the frequency. This one looks like it'll be locked to 1-2 specific frequencies. Trouble is: if there are stations too close to whatever those are, you'll get interference.
I spent 2 seconds searching, so there's probably better than this again - but here's a Bluetooth car adapter. Not an endorsement of the product, just an example of what sort of things are on the market.

Piranhas are all there and working, but some of them seem more identical with each other than usual. In other news, man with hole in hands brought in the best fish & chips to feed the whole crew.

Changed my mind while I was out driving around the state and headed north because I was able to snag the last room at a motel I like in Albury for their normal non-inflated price of $150.

Thing is.. I left my apartment today with intentions of coming home so I have nothing with me. I managed to find an open shop (apparently IGAs are open every day of the year) to grab some hair product so I can go out tonight. Can't wear my hat out to the club.

So now I sit in my motel room eating banana chips, watching NRL on the tv and about to sneak an hour nap before I head out to the club which is literally next door 👌

- Aldi's Natural Blonde were undrinkable imo but coles have a version that weren't bad for around $45 a slab. They are a lighter version of Pure Blondes. I can't think of their name though.

Friday already? I haven't been able to really do anything since Monday so have been wiped out for a whole week. The previous one was brutal. Drugs? Of course drugs should be regulated. I don't want 5 yr old kids to be able to buy poisons at the local corner shop.

Decriminalising recreational drug use? yes. ( but I came out as being authoritarian)

It bothers me how media is on purpose showing issues in a non nuanced way. I suppose they get more clicks that way and get more fascist votes

I turn out very weird on these quiz things, and dropped out of law classes because of the way I think. Innate Human Rights do not exist. Which is not to say I think any of the legislated ones are bad, wrong, or should be wilfully denied.
