I see your point, but couldn't you say the same thing about any forum?

I use Vikunja, but you have to self host it, it's not an app you can just start on your PC

It's great to use open source software. But once you need to use CAD for work, you're gonna use the most efficient tool you can find no matter what OS it requires.

The thing with social media with little to no moderation is that it attracts exactly the type of people who abuse that to high heaven.

So either every platform starts moderating or the trolls take over and users migrate somewhere without trolls.

But if you really want to take part in such a thing I guess create your own lemmy instance or find one where people tolerate your speech ¯(ツ)/¯
