  • This is a pet peeve of mine, but if you don't know how to use thou, it's better not to use it. The correct form is: thou shalt.

  • You are most likely fine using the open source version and none of their paid services.

Personally, I want to avoid any association, so I use LibreOffice.

  • Yes, they are legitimate and not just fears. OnlyOffice is produced by a Russian team. They opened an office in Latvia, and in 2023 a holding in Singapore, to circumvent Western measures in boycott of Russia, so they can continue to sell their services.

What's also weird is that the Russian version of the software package is named after the first Soviet nuclear ICBM and features imagery of that.

  • Shulman, Ott, Globular, Easily Embarrassed

That's my jive. Makes me happy.

  • They are not inclusive, though it is what they want you to believe. Feminism is about women--it's in the name. Also, when you read the founding documents of feminism, there is a strong anti-men stance. This is simply not the right lens through which to view men's issues.

And having experienced MensLib on Reddit in the past, there men's issues were always made subservient to women's issues. And the draconian moderation made sure no criticism of feminism was allowed to stand.

To really discuss men's issues, a space is needed that is free from the ideological shackles of feminism.

  • That is first and foremost a feminist community, so the focus is not on men. That's not what we need.

  • That there is a God, and he loves you, but he will send anyone to eternal torture who does not believe in him.

Took me way too long to find out that that makes no fucking sense.

  • This is why Mark Rutte is the right man for the job. He knows exactly what to say to get the American president on board. He is a master at his craft.

  • In my opinion they should be appointed and be accountable to the law. There should be good oversight, and an independent body that investigates allegations of misbehaviour. Elections would just make it a popularity contest.

  • That would explain. But that comment is in answer to the top-level comment about the lemmy.ml instance.

  • It does, since it still federates with lemmy.ml...

  • I'm not that familiar with the North-American market, but small cars are way more common in Europe and East-Asia.

the giant phone that sticks half out your pocket

That's not my experience. But then I prefer somewhat loose fitting slacks.

  • Except, small vehicles are actually on the market, and there is a good selection to choose from.

Something else is going on with phones. There are many models in the mid and low range, but extremely few small models.

  • Hmm, you have a point there.

  • I have a 6.8" Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ (overdue for an update), and it comfortably fits in my pants' pockets. I don't know what kind of tight pants or minuscule size you wear, but for most of us it's a non-issue.

  • It's what the public wants. If small phones would sell better, they would make them.
