Since Gingrich, Republicans were especially vocal and greedy, but it wasn't until COVID that I realized just how fucked our country is given how many hateful idiots support this behavior.

I'm not talking about classically conservative-minded folks who ultimately want the same thing as me, btw. Those people are fine, and even a good balance to a small extent.

I agree, but these are the people that own the country, so they can actually remove him if they aren't liking it.

How have we gotten to the point of just hoping his poor health will solve this problem? Assassination is crazy and shouldn't be a solution to anything, but I just wish the whole country was not as brainwashed/apathetic to avoid this problem in the first place.

I think most people understand that by this point. It's been a war on information since the internet was created, even 80 years ago people like Goebbels understood the value of constricting information flow.

I got banned multiple times from calling something on a conservative subreddit hate speech, because it was very blatantly hate speech. Go figure...

No he didn't, don't spread misinformation. He's a piece of shit just using his kid as a meat shield, but in the actual clip he just walked a few steps and the kid ran a different way but as soon as he noticed he went to go get him.

The reality is that these people were/are unhappy in their lives due to stagnation in their finances/jobs, poor healthcare, and they don't have a tight local community. Then these dumb, angry people are primed to accept someone who says they'll fix their lives, and knows how to talk right to them. Everything else is just toppings, but that's really the meat of it.

He's said he's scared for his life. I think that's reasonable given the amount of people he's pissing off. It's only a matter of time...

Again, I want to believe, but recent history doesn't provide that angle. During COVID there were people saying it was a government hoax as they were dying in the hospital. If they can be brainwashed to not believe their own fucking death, then nothing will change them.

I'm not talking about some of the moderates who don't really mind Trump but don't stay informed, by the way. I think some small percentage of these folks will be able to see the reality, just not in time.
