People didn't move to Toronto from Montreal because it's more affordable. They moved because of the language laws that make English speakers second class at best in Quebec.

It's a legal obligation for the bank to escalate it. You can't just ask them, informing someone you suspect of an unusual transaction is specifically called out in anti-moneylaundering / anti-terrorist financing regulations.

I disagree. When comments are essentially just a rephrasing of the class/method name or arguments it is not helpful and anything that is not helpful is cluttering up the code and making it harder to quickly see what the code is doing. I'd rather have no comments than comments like that.

People should be informed of that too. I'd bet more people eat meat thinking it's healthy then eat french fries thinking it's healthy. Let people make informed choices for themselves. You can't do that if you don't have the information.
