How ironic that the one bit of meme in this screenshot is partially covered by something else.

That has been my experience with security people, too. They are button pushers and copy pasters. But I don't think it's cloud computing causing it. They were like that before clouds.

Man... every time I use LibreOffice I curse. I'm dyed in the wool pro open source, but LibreOffice has just never cut it for me. I suppose if I had a job to do and that's what I was given it would work.

I'd rather not debate that particular topic. I'm not up on all the nuances. But I will say that while coal was maybe the right choice for generating abundant energy once upon a time, we know a lot more now about why it's a bad choice for other reasons, and, besides, we have more options now than we used to. So it's good to see the world's second largest economy at least trying to build solar capacity.

Good for China on that!

To add some perspective, China is about 2 and a quarter times as large as the EU nations, and according to currentresults.com seems to get a bit more sunshine than the EU does. So the difference isn't quite as stark as this post makes it seem.

But still, it's good that China is taking solar power seriously. I didn't realize they were doing that well.

What is the technology angle here? What does this have to do with technology?
