This is the answer. trump and his colleagues have learned that there are no consequences for any misdeed, be that violating the law, ignoring the constitution, contradicting cultural norms, fleecing cash from their own supporters, or even directly and actively hurting their own political constituency. In that environment, they are free to act to enrich and empower themselves in the long run even if the short term consequences are dire for everyone around them. Billionaires will not feel the economic impact of his policies, even if their portfolios drop on paper for a while. While Elon has lost a huge percentage of his “wealth” in terms of the drop in his stock portfolio, he still has hundreds of billions of dollars on paper. While that’s happening he and his class can start buying the dip, seizing ever more assets from the struggling masses just trying to stay afloat. Then, when the macroeconomy stabilizes, they will be sitting on that much more of the pile. Rinse and repeat.

Well, I suppose if you’re an incredibly racist freak, and you define any Muslim with a gun as a terrorist, then — you’re still fucking wrong and just peddling the same racist, anti-historical nonsense that fascists have used to rationalize apartheid, ethnic cleansing and active genocide for decades.

Given that my comment explicitly decrying anyone thinking about killing Rick Scott was modded, I can only assume that the mods are advocating for killing Rick Scott. It’s a madhouse.

This ban is such horseshit since he didn’t suggest anyone should kill Rick Scott, or generally advocate for the killing of Rick Scott. But apparently just alluding to the killing of Rick Scott is problematic on twitch. Generally, I think there should be more discussion about this whole “kill Rick Scott“ issue, although I don’t think anyone should actually kill Rick Scott.

For some reason I thought this asshole had some substance to him a while ago. That all evaporated when I watched him guffaw about ‘apes’ and other crypto scams for an hour with fellow tech bro dullard Kevin Rose.

Correct. Americans should focus their concerns on our fascist, racist, kleptocratic president. They should be concerned about how that self-serving huckster is dismantling the administrative state in an effort to enrich himself and his oligarch colleagues at our expense. They should be concerned about how that cowardly demagogue is undermining democracy itself to insulate himself from the rule of law. They should also be concerned about how that dishonest fool is weakening us, and making us and our allies less safe in the long term by capitulating to militaristic authoritarians like Putin.

Let’s let him be president for life, as long as that life is less than four more years. Anything beyond that has a “second amendment solution”, as I’ve heard countless Republicans describe.
