  • They call "refusing to be exploited" piracy. Generally industries where there are huge monopolies like media, groceries, and other such thing are most sensitive to this because they lack the ability to deal with outside pressures any more.

Vilifying people fighting back is the cheapest way to manage this.

I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what replaces things like Netflix and Spotify

  • Nowadays the resources required to even bother with a botnet targeting win95 machines would be almost non-existent. That said, I guess someone could be managing something that targets all win32 versions .. the internet is weird place

  • It's ok. It will be replaced. Everyone acts like these things are the only option. They didn't exist before and they'll be replaced in the future. Just like everything ever.

When a company is shitty. Get rid of it as soon as possible to make room for replacements to grow as quickly as possible.

We gave nothing from too big to fail in any arena

  • If the business is to produce educated people. Teachers provide the core benefit.. and pretty measurable.

It's when there's a teacher with 7 line managers that are just have meetings to talk about the teachers "output" that causes the problem.

  • Who cares? If they can't run a service providing what people want. They disappear. The world won't fall apart without a website that hosts videos. We'll move on.

In the meantime don't let them try to get away with maximizing profit at your expense.

Your best investment at this stage is support your local software developers and pirates working against the huge megacorp that gives zero fucks about what you think.

  • Of course it doesn't. The amount of money these people make is insignificant compared to the billions siphoned off by corporations to payout themselves and their shareholders. Wage suppression is about control.

  • You're wrong. They're not GOING to. They already have and won't stop. They're copying Nvidia.

Build your business off the backs of consumers and good will until you don't need them anymore. Then fuckem.

They're doing a great at capitalism.
