I’m not super familiar with it, but she’s helped a lot of women through heartbreak. That does a lot for your popularity. With at times it being a super catchy tune. Over and over and over. She’s not new at all.

You may wanna check on your instance and see if it’s actually federating correctly. It’s definitely not loading correctly when I go to it. Looks like when it was active you were only communicating with 77 instances according to defed.xyz.

Something tells me that neither one of those communities are going anywhere anyway. No matter what tweaking is done to Lemmy. The one you mentioned is so dead you might as well have made another. There’s already Reddit themed communities that are meant for the same thing really as that’s all most of us want it to do is die.

Sounds like you’d think this was weird in any situation so why are you even asking the question? If you’re going to show respect to someone, you use their name. It’s also a sales tactic to show that you’re paying attention to them and took note of their name when they said it. It makes people more comfortable when you’re personable with them. At least the majority of people. I know everyone’s scared these days to even answer an unknown phone number.

A lot of developers did this and funny enough all the ones that took lifetime subs and stuff. Some of the most promising ones too. Hopefully they come back but they seem to be waiting for it to financially make sense at one point (higher user count).

Until then I suggest branching out and trying others like Voyager or Thunder. I don’t use android so there may be more good/actively developed ones.

Yeah, I’ve figured out Samsung was the buzz word. Also they’ve had some improvement apparently as they’re supporting and updating the operating system on these for 7 years now. I have no skin in the game. I don’t use Android. I just love tech. Especially bleeding edge. I’m not here to argue about pricing or what Samsung did somewhere. Just sharing one of MKBHD’s dope videos.
