  • I'm a data analyst that's started to do more data science stuff (learning SQL/python) but not sure I would quite class myself as technical yet.

  • Not on your instance but it's so good to see unequivocal inclusion and support for the trans community. There should be no room for bigotry of any kind.

  • I love Fleet Foxes but haven't heard much of Crack, thanks for the nudge to check it out.

Anyone else associate autumn/winter with Fleet Foxes? They sound so cosy to me

  • That sounds great. I think there should definitely be more educational games for grown ups along this line

  • I'm atheist but I like hearing people's views about religion and belief from the other perspective as well. I find it fascinating how people believe in different things, belief has had a huge impact on the world (for better and worse).

  • I definitely agree. Descartes' Meditations was one of the first philosophical texts I read in my undergrad degree. Great introduction to the style of writing

  • These sound great, definitely something I would listen to.

Just subscribed to Ethics Town which is similar to Hi Phi Nation (uses the trolley problem as a plot device/theme) but not heard any of it yet so not sure if it's any good.

  • I love the idea of having a routine in a way, think the act of going through it is the self care aspect I would like moreso than the result if that makes sense? Feel like it would help me sleep better too as it's a way of winding down for the evening

At the same time though when I'm having a depression relapse even remembering to brush my teeth can be hard, let alone anything else.

Can definitely see how people get into it though

The pumpkin thing looks cool! I have something similar that was given to me years ago that I've not used. I think I would probably forget to wash it off in the morning

  • Always valuable, I only referenced the girl thing because it's something all the women in my life seem 'on top of' and it feels like I didn't get a memo.

It's insane just how expensive some of the products are, feels like it's just selling false promises at a certain point

  • Yeah I feel like it's a losing battle to fight against wrinkles. Would be nice to get to a stage where I can use them as ID haha. More concerned about going grey to be honest, not sure it would suit me. I look young for my age but I have a feeling it's one of those things where a switch flips and suddenly you look ancient

  • Dish soap as in washing up liquid?!

Not sure if this is a cultural difference, never heard of anyone in the UK washing their skin with fairy, thought it would dry it out.

Looking at this thread though it seems quite common, so maybe we're the odd ones for not doing it!

  • The only thing I think that's an issue is dark circles under my eyes, but I'm at the acceptance stage now. Think it's partly genetic, found that when I did try to put stuff on it they only looked more pronounced.

  • Things are much calmer than last week workwise and I have a couple of days off this week thankfully. Saw the first of a few Edinburgh previews last night which was great (was in a damp side room of a pub so felt like being at the fringe already). Seeing an outdoor Shakespeare play on Friday so hoping it stops raining before then!

  • Choir tours are great fun, hope yyhave a good time!

I should be going on tour with my choir next summer. Looking forward to it

  • I get this when logging in on desktop and when adding a post/upvoting on mobile. Hard to know if your post has gone through and I don't want to spam

  • League of Legends. I used to enjoy playing it but could only do so many games before I got sick of the angsty teenagers

  • Good tip, will try that

  • I use Habitica, really helpful when I'm having a depression relapse. I like how you collect pets by completing tasks
