Something that I realized about the fediverse is that you seem to be able to criticize the USA as a whole, but if you criticize the Democrats you get downvoted. Democrats suck they are not sacred cows

  • You are not wrong. My point is that dictator trump and his cronies will pave over the bones of Palestinians and turn Gaza into a Trump resort. Strip the rights of all non-christians, minorities, women, and lgbt in America(and this is just citizens!). Take away the only public service for healthcare, meager that it is. We will see nothing but negative progress and monstrous acts from this admin. Monstrous in a far more sinster and evil way than ever before.

  • Even Hitler did not manage to get the Gestapo set up until 4 months after he was appointed as chancellor. It has only been 3 weeks. Auschwitz was not set up until 7 years after his rise to power. Though the first concentration camp, which I imagine was more mild, was set up after a few months.

    It feels like you are arguing in bad faith.

    If I am getting ready to go hiking in an area where there may be bears, I don't say to myself, "I am not currently being attacked by a bear, so I will probably not need bear mace." In this analogy I like hiking (living in the democracy that I was born in and served to defend) therefore I will not choose to just not go hiking (leaving).

  • I called them out for a service, was having them move my fiber box to a different room. When the guy was here, I asked if he could replace my router with a newer model, and he replaced it with the best and newest one they provide lol.
