Because we shouldn't be, and don't need to be, relying on the goodwill of Billionaires to solve social problems. Instead of giving tax breaks for billionaires to pick and choose which issues to fund, we should tax the billionaires out of existence and democratically decide what to do with our money.

Philanthropy rhetoric is used to justify the existence of billionaires. We don't need them.

Y'all are dumb as hell for supporting this bill. It doesn't just ban tiktok, it applies to any app with 20% or more ownership by any person/entity from a country that is a "foreign adversary".

You're not listening to what I'm saying. The tiktok ban is a massive overreach of government power. If the government wanted to prevent spying, they could have passed a law about spying and collecting user data. TikTok operates as a business in the US and would be subject to those laws.
