  • Just the one (on lemmy.world). Any more would get confusing.

Might possibly get a porn one, but sooner or later I will end up posting a long, technical post on road safety or something similar as @pantycumslutboi or something similar..... which could be interesting and amusing for other participatns in that discussion

  • Its the same username I had at the other place that shall not be named, until I got permabanned for reasons still unclear to me.

I originally joined via the swimming sub there, looking for recommendations on waterproof music players to use while swimming so I can listen to AC/DC and Motohead etc while swimming laps. I'm a bogan (Australian and New Zealand slang for a person whose speech, clothing, attitude and behaviour are considered unrefined or unsophisticated) and I swim laps every day. Therefore..... waterbogan

  • I dont think that donations are going to provide an adequate financial basis long term - an incentivised scheme or paid memberships will provide a more stable long term financial support. I was about to pay for a reddit membership when they permabanned me 😗

  • For now.... until reddit's admins find themselves some more feet to shoot themselves in. In the interim there's always going to be a steady flow of those who have been permabanned for obscure and arbitrary reasons

  • I'd be willing to bet 100 bucks this was a cheap Chinese made e-scooter. They are notorious for cutting corners on battery management systems and chargers etc, this is the country that brought us melamine in baby formula. Non-existent regulation coupled with absolutely epic corruption.

You are perfectly safe charging an e-bike or e-scooter in your apartment provided it is not cheap Chinese junk

  • I wash my cars on the driveway, just water and an old towel or shirt, dont use any detergent or anything so dont need to worry about run-off. Then dry with an old sheet, then polish/wax

One doesnt get washed often as it is 22 years old and parked outside. Other gets washed every time I use it which isnt that often, its over 40 years old.

  • Since I need a phone that can withstand being dropped on concrete every other day and having tools, hammers, 4x2 offcuts dropped on it etc every so often I dont think a foldable is for me. My current phone has two screen protectors and a case and its still got a cracked screen

  • I think that may be stemming from the earlier changes when they shut down a large number of fairly popular but controversial subs, that drove some active commenters away. Plus they started getting very ban happy in the last couple of years, that absolutely has a damping effect
