My instance doesn't block it, but I blocked it with the recent feature added in 0.19.3 or 4, give or take. I think I got tired of seeing the angry people.

It's a travesty, but after a cease fire is drafted and world news starts covering something else, we're still stuck with whoever is president. I've never voted based on one single issue. There's lots of stuff to consider.

Yes, there's plenty of anger all over the world. Plenty of people who have been wronged. The type of stuff I'm referring to is more like "owning a house and having people pay you money so they can live there is criminal", but in an "all caps" sort of tone. That sort of thing.

Feel free to talk about how rent is too high, we need legislation, etc. etc., but if you go straight to some sort of off-the-wall ideology and you're very loud about it without discussing the nuances, my preference would be for the culture of Lemmy to not be that.

So much better than the other guy, though. Writing in a candidate will be fun for some people, but I'm choosing to vote for someone who 1) can win and 2) won't strip away freedoms in the name of religion.

I'd like to see fewer angry communists. Regular communists don't bother me, but don't be so aggressive about it.

Plenty of warning for low batteries. Batteries last a while, especially if you use Lithium type.

Unsubscribing from Prime has made zero difference in our lives. They kept advertising "there's more to prime", none of which we used, which made me realize we're paying for all this stuff and getting nothing out of it.

Combined with it sort of going the way of eBay with all sorts of junk and not much quality stuff... It's not really that great anymore.

I used to sort by best reviews, but that can't be trusted anymore.

Yeah, all I see is under Administration -> settings -> Map & GPS settings, there's a couple of things there. Nothing that disables location altogether I don't think, just showing location on a map and looking up the city.

Which version?

I just checked and mine is working. I'll look into server settings in a bit, but didn't see any settings in the android app.
