  • With the likes of massive companies like Disney and Paramount running the show .. it's going to be a while.

Also, you do realise that these massive wages come from the obscene profits made by movies, in other words, if you want to make money, you need to spend it.

  • Reminds me of a 24 hour round bus trip from the Netherlands to Paris in about 1989 when the person sitting next to me asked if you needed a passport to cross the border.

"Yes .. you need a passport .. for both borders, both ways."

"Oh. Uhm. I need to go and get it then."

30 minutes later we finally departed.

(This was before the Euro and open borders.)

  • Hmm .. the author uses a hotspot connected with a SIM. Their whole argument hinges on not being tracked, but their hotspot is with them all the time. Seems like a massive hole in their privacy argument.

  • So, we can expect more security breaches?

Microsoft: Move along .. Nothing to see here.

  • I fantasize that someone selling ice-cream gets lots of thanks.

  • If you have a roof, you can put a sprinkler on it and spray water with a tap timer. Just enough to wet it, so that the water can evaporate and cool the roof.

If you have windows facing the sun, get blockout curtains and close them before the sun hits them.

If your front door has a window, get an expanding shower rail and hang a blockout curtain.

If you have internal doors, keep them closed.

Wear clothes made from natural fibres.

    Drink extra water.

    Move slower.

Eat cold meals, like salads, rather than cooked meals that heat up your home.

Install a ceiling fan and keep the air moving.

When the sun is off a window, open it to encourage ventilation.

    Keep air moving at night.

Put a thin cover on your bed.

    Have cold showers.

  • Hit the refresh button on your browser.

  • I was making exactly that reference to the flamethrower wielding CEO.

I have no idea what security policy looks like for armed guards in the USA or elsewhere for that matter, but I figured that they'd be wearing guns and walkie-talkies by default. I figured that the flamethrower would be a valued accessory.

  • Is it just me who wonders if this is a fabricated excuse to add armed guards to every Tesla dealer, just itching to use flamethrowers on "insurgents"?

  • It appears that these countries now have some form of warning associated with travelling to the USA:

    • Australia
    • Belgium
    • Canada
    • Denmark
    • Finland
    • France
    • Germany
    • Ireland
    • Mexico
    • Netherlands
    • New Zealand
    • Norway
    • Portugal

  • I first heard this in the early 1990's when I was working on a computer helpdesk. By that time, Word Perfect was no longer popular, having been steadily replaced by Windows and Word.

  • I'd be surprised if this was the case, but:

Does this mean that ALS is entirely caused by external factors like the chemicals found in these mushrooms?

Better still, is it entirely caused by these mushrooms?

If so, that's amazing news for humanity.

  • Given the current "administration" track record of pursuing an anti-imigrant agenda I doubt that the deaths of 6.3 million people who are not citizens or tax-payors will even register, let alone cause concern.

What might cause a reaction is the rest of the world.

So, tell your local politicians in your own country.

  • If both your parents did a DNA test with the same company, and you are their child and not the result of a liaison with the milkman, you are 100% screwed.

If you are the product of a liaison with the milkman and the milkman didn't do a DNA test with the same company, you're 50% screwed.

If you were adopted, then there will be no impact from the DNA test, but if your parents didn't tell you, they're 100% screwed. (Assuming that your birth parents didn't have a DNA test.)

In other words, there's a non-zero chance that you're screwed.
