  • Not to mention the toxic incentives it creates when the vendor is the only one allowed to repair the thing they sold you. If they get a paycheck every time they repair the thing they build, then obviously they're gonna build that thing to break.

  • Also, what "nicer stuff"? It's practically impossible to find anything on Amazon anymore that isn't cheap, disposable garbage. Amazon sellers have been in a race to the bottom to deliver the lowest price for more than a decade, and the result is that everything on Amazon is crap.

  • Oh, fun fact, this is similar to how the rich made so much money during COVID. Throw money at the poor, they have to spend that money, money goes to companies, then the owners.

    I'm sorry, but who was "throwing money at the poor" during COVID?
