Owners of a domain, which domain registrar did you choose and why?

  • Ghandi got sold to another company last year and they have started raising prices... I suggest you look into transfering your domain to somewhere else. I am trying porkbun now and it seems alright but they are others.

  • My girlfriend likes jrpg games.. I think you could try thoses... There are plenty. Final fantasy etc. Can play with an emulator.

    Otherwise she loves Tetris! Playing against her is a ton of fun.

    Doki Doki litterature club (visual novels that is kind of funny, I played it with my girlfriend)

    Spyro the Dragon (my sister just play this and the Sims lol)

  • It does seems that they just made it nearly impossible to unlock the phone for the Chinese version of their phone: You need to be 'level 5' in their shitty forum. And from what I gathered this involves posting hundred or thousand of messages with a lot of likes.

    I don't think it will take long before they pull the same kind of bullshit for the global version of the phone unless there is a general outcry.

  • I'm no expert but Samsung chip is called exynos. Mali is GPU related and mtk is mediatek? A taiwanese company.

  • Disagree unless the game can be compiled from source. because most games are targeted for a specific Ubuntu lts version.. try to symlink obscure libs hoping it doesn't crash meanwhile winapi is stable and wine/proton is way easier to manage.

  • I saw a young American tech YouTuber, he would get an old iphone SE as a backup phone just so he could use iMessage with his friends. I'm not judging though, i think iPhones are nice devices just very limited.

  • oLauncher Clutter Free from F-Droid. It's super simple and fast on my aging low end phone. I save every bits of cpu/ram i can.

  • Niche but very valuable for me is: symfonium which is a very complete subsonic client. Prana Breath is a lean but featureful breathing app with a ton of different exercises from beginners to advanced yoga practitioners

    Both apps are android only and are miles ahead of anything iphone can offer which is worth being mentioned imo.

  • Depends on your expectations, it won't be as streamlined as amd/Intel but if you are not too picky it should be enough to have a usable machine.
