  • just like cave paintings mean very little and show us no connection to our past ancestors including being able to see what was the same or was different or anything

  • it does not address the whole issue entire no

choosing a band aid when you are gushing blood from a huge open wound is not a fix

    not even baby steps

  • the only challenges to the elections in the US are the Democrats and Republicans

both parties have monopolized our elections and hindered any improvements that could have been made

  • yes CEOs need to get paid less but it beats around the bush on the real issues keeping workers down and getting CEOs' salaries lowered does not mean anything will trickle down

what about the minimum wage, worker's rights, healthcare, parental leave, sick leave

this ignores lots of other issues

what about the fast food places that are using AIs in the drive throughs instead of paying living wages

just like when unemployment goes down and a president touts job creation never minding the fact they are usually factory jobs with pay that does not match labor or conditions let alone be a livable wage and are usually in the South where regulations are less and the workers have less rights/pay

  • The latest round of redistricting in Galveston County, a community of 350,000 people, redrew a district in which Black and Hispanic voters together had made up a majority of voters. The redrawn boundaries reduced their combined share of the district’s electorate to 38 percent.

    right there in the article

leaders rigged the election to get elected and to keep holding power

    voting is a sham

and both parties participate in different ways to keep people from voting

  • One idea Harris should consider embracing, both to impress working-class voters on the campaign trail this year and to help navigate the legislative thicket next year: is to raise the corporate tax rate only on corporations that pay their chief executives absurdly more than they pay their workers.

In 2021, writing for the Washington Monthly, Carter Dougherty urged Biden to adopt a version of a policy that originated in Portland, Oregon: Companies that pay CEOs 100 times more than their median worker must cough up a 10 percent tax surcharge. If the ratio is 250-to-1, then the surcharge is 25 percent. In 2023, also in the Monthly, Jessica Church argued such a law could have rendered the protracted United Auto Workers strike unnecessary.

The appeal of the approach is clear. CEO compensation has skyrocketed in the last few decades, fueled by financial instruments like stock options, while worker compensation has lagged. This is a way to help increase the pay packages of average Americans without complex government bureaucracy or contentious labor strikes. As a Portland City Council member told Dougherty, “The goal was not to make money. The goal is to get employers to raise median wages.”

so instead of committing to fight with the workers to gain better rights and raising the minimum wage we are just going to try force the situation with horseshit regulations?

the fire she started with is already going out not to mention her right wing immigration stance

    here we go again

Democrats using Fascism Lite to combat Republican's Fascism Original

  • but since voting is a sham and the courts are run by kangaroos nothing short of a riot is going change anything

  • keeping the two party system on life support even longer

  • being a prosecutor does not mean you are automatically on the right side nor does being a criminal automatically put you on the wrong side

Harris needs to downplay her role as a prosecutor and try to rise above it

places like Georgia with Cop City might not see a prosecutor as a positive nor would a family that has been torn apart by prosecutors and laws/legislations such as the 94 Crime Bill

people fighting for the civil rights movement were in the wrong in the eyes of the police and prosecutors but they were not wrong on law and morality

law and morality are not defined by prosecutors or law it is defined by votes from citizens otherwise it is not a democracy

  • say that when your vote gets taken

some of us are not legally allowed to vote here in the US

way more than a complaint it is a loss of rights and an inability to be able voice any want of change

  • being a prosecutor does not automatically put you on the right side and being a felon does not automatically put you on the wrong side

you comment as if you never had to talk to a prosecutor before

most of them will attempt to make you less than human while putting themselves on a righteous pedestal while conversing with someone

not defending Trump but putting prosecutors on the side of good on a binary playing field is slippery slope

  • Republicans pushing the election conspiracies and democrats staunchly denying said conspiracies are just muddying up the water

US elections are a sham and fraud

not counting the people sitting out and not voting we only have part of the voters voting

the US through laws and legislations has made sure that there is a sizeable portion of the population here kept out of voting in elections and those are the numbers that would swing election results

  • the US is fracturing more by the day and with this much of the country shattered we are never getting our rights back

only going to lose more of our rights to do the things that make us human

in the meantime, politicians will use what we lost against us and sell us false promises of change and hope in the form of fundraisers

  • Tennessee has low pay for factory workers and usually businesses such as ARC get tax breaks because they employ x amount people combing this with low regulations and it is a recipe for disaster

Southern US factories are ramping up to be the next China in labor violations and suppressing worker's rights included

  • keep voting in pro police candidates to lead the country and we end up with undertrained over funded police forces that self regulates

  • thanks silent generation/boomers just the inheritance we wanted!

  • so more kids in detention centers?
