Yeah know the only other country I can think of who pulled this shit was fucking Italy when they fought Ethiopia. Russia has devolved into Italian level military tactics.

As someone who's skin is naturally about as pale as a troglodyte Irishman but lives in SoCal. Tanning can fuck you up if you tan too quickly I still have a large amount of freckles and discoloration on my shoulders from skin damage back when I was like 10, I am 25 it has been years. Though admittedly I do have a very light farmers tan on my forearms and on the upper part of my face.

Also Trump has a cult of personality which due to its nature is able to more or less grow continuously. It's growth between 2020 and 2024 can be easily explained by folks who were kids during his first term and are surrounded by kin and kith who are also in the personality cult.

Also I doubt farmers want prisoners with grudges going about their property. Best case scenario they damage something accidentally and don't say anything which could become quite expensive depending on the thing that got broken, for example a water valve. Worst case scenario they go out of their way to break shit and basically the same problem but intentional and coordinated. Also I doubt the guards would be much better.

Propaganda is self reinforced as much as it is externally reinforced, it's a lot like a barbed arrow that dogs in the more you try to remove it. The reasoning is the important part of why these two opinions exist. Surprisingly not by much, most of the improvements have been with portability not functionality, at least when it comes to stone working. Instead of steam we use electric for example so you don't need to lug around steam canisters for a power drill. Scaffolding, blasting, drilling, and chiseling is still more or less the same since the 30s.
